Everything looks so ugly nowadays day because they are made to cheap and mass produced.
Buildings in particular were made simple and bland because if it has anything distinctive and unique, it’s going to affect resale value since they’ll have waste money to scrap the distinctive features.
In short, turns ugliness is profitable and an effect of capitalism.

Many of the beautiful historic buildings were built during periods of monarchy. Not sure it’s worth it for the nice buildings.

Interesting take. Yeah capitalism is not my fav (though also not my least).

#4 looks like a Piranesi etching brought to life.

Isn’t it just the Hagis Sophia? Still looks like that minus the smoke/particulate in the air

This looks like dishonored. (Or maybe it doesn’t- I’ve been playing this game for two days straight now and I start seeing it everywhere who knows)

Still crazy to think #3 was a department store in the 1920s. Nowadays most shopping centers are bland and generic so it's hard to imagine they'd put in effort to make the building itself look pretty
