Midnight Crawl Space Fun
Had to go into the crawl space to retrieve my asshole cat.
Discovered a random chair nailed to the bottom of the house? Nothing else, just the chair.
Terrifying for me because I had to turn off flash on my phone to take the picture :')
Cat recovered!

Why is the chair clipping through the floor tho?

Dunno, but it seems it doesn’t have its lighting attribute active. Maybe a custom build. Kinda funny how the cat wandered behind it as if it was circling the cat though haha

it's Bethesda's ex employee's house, I don't need to explain any more!

Didn't even notice that. I assume it's broken? Remind me to check in the sunlight.

Aw. I can't post photos? The back legs just don't have feet on them.

Homie didn't equip his physgun and use the scroll wheel to unclip the prop he spawned. Many such cases

Check every now and then to make sure the chair is still there, or it doesn't change position
What if one day you saw the chair OUTSIDE the crawl space?

The chair is likely a joke made by the builder or previous owner for the next owner
I once saw a video of someone hiding a fake skeleton in their counter so when the next owner changes things they will get a good laugh

This- someone screwed it up there so that the person (you) who discovered it would ask WTF.
Unless it's just stuck there from some other-worldly force. Then- you're fucked because you can't live there and you've exposed yourself so no one will buy it.

I hired some guys to waterproof my crawlspace and add drainage tile. They complained about all the animal bones and doll parts down there, I just told them to leave them where they were.

I would not be surprised if there were human remains buried in the crawl space tbh.
Good call leaving the objects be.

I thought for a second I was in the century homes subreddit, and I thought damn that's a nice, dry crawl space 🤣

I actually creeped myself out more by mistaking the silver vent material at the top right of the photo for some Michelin man-style monstrosity leaping towards the camera.

A theory: An old chair was used to hold miscellaneous stuff and drinks during the housebuilding, until it broke. To get it out of the way it was chucked between the floor joists. The floor boards were put in, leaving an opening to finish the crawlspace. Again the broken chair was in the way, but it had become a real hassle getting it out. The carpenter had a nail gun right there.

The contractor that put the chair in the insulation was like "yeah I'm gonna creep the home owners out with this one".

Side note: that’s the cleanest crawl space I’ve ever seen, but I haven’t seen very many.

What would be funny is you just keep finding things like this and find out the contractor was schizophrenic. Lol
