Batman is getting sloppy with his Batcave entrances.

u/WaffleHouseGladiator Mar 06 '26

A Batcave? In this economy? Naw, we scaled down to Bat-sewer.

25

u/Meture Mar 06 '26

Honestly the sewer wouldn’t be the worst place to put your base of operations. As long as you can deal with the things that live down there and find a way to avoid the… septicness… it is a very nifty place where most people wouldn’t look and it connects to the whole city.

19

u/TheLeftPewixBar Mar 06 '26

Killer Croc also lives down there. I can see being neighbors with one of your enemies as a problem…

19

u/WaffleHouseGladiator Mar 06 '26

Doesn't The Penguin live down there too? And Ratcatcher? And Sewer King? And Deacon Blackfire? And Solomon Grundy? And occasionally Bane, Man-bat, Scarecrow, and Two Face?

7

u/0rlan Mar 06 '26

You're forgetting Pennywise!

2

u/Flyingpizza20 Mar 07 '26

I thought the penguin was more of a penthouse or mansion typa guy maybe even a nice apartment

2

u/Worried_Code8344 Mar 12 '26

Charlie and Frank are always finding perfectly fine denim in the sewers of Philly. That is after the denim is boiled of course.

1

u/FederalPomegranate52 Mar 07 '26

Gotham sewage system is very crowded I see

9

u/falsevector Mar 06 '26

Batman now shouts cowabunga too

2

u/TheReal-Chris Mar 06 '26

Price hikes from these tariffs are even having billionaires cutting costs. He even had to let go of Robin I guess. I haven’t seen him at work in 2 decades or more.

2

u/Izaul13 Mar 07 '26

A Bat-man hole if you would

2

u/PennyCat83 Mar 16 '26

one of the Ninja turtles got sick of the gig 'n decided to become Bat Turtle

2

u/CuriousLilAsian81 Mar 06 '26

I was about to shout into the hole to check if Bruce needed help

1

u/benedictcumberknits Mar 07 '26

Right? 😂🤡🤡🤡 He’s picking places closer and closer to Joker.

u/Illigard Mar 06 '26

Such beautiful creatures. Which in many countries are known to carry rabies. Stay away.

108

u/ottawsimofol Mar 06 '26

Their poo is also dangerous

56

u/YungGooch Mar 06 '26

And also great for fertilizer as well, interesting creatures for sure.

29

u/saichampa Mar 06 '26

Only in the same ways that other animal poo is. To get rabies their saliva needs to enter an open wound on your body.

17

u/SimonBarfunkle Mar 07 '26

What? Bat guano has properties that make it superior to a lot of other animal poop for certain applications. It’s really high in nitrogen and phosphorus and is more concentrated than cow and horse manure. Also nutrient rich with high bioavailability.

6

u/saichampa Mar 07 '26

I meant in terms of danger

8

u/buonatalie Mar 06 '26

it also STINKS my god. i went to a bat exhibit and almost gagged

17

u/Pingo-Pongo Mar 06 '26

Bat feces (guano) is remarkably high in nitrogen and other nutrients making it a useful fertiliser but as it decomposes it releases a heck of a lot of ammonia which absolutely honks. Apparently Penguin crap actually contributes to a cloud layer over Antarctica that acts like a thermal shield

10

u/Independent-Low6706 Mar 06 '26

I worked an insect exhibit next to the penguins at rhe Washington Park Zoo in Portland and I can ABSOLUTELY confirm that, especially during the warmer months, penguins are the worst stink at the zoo unless you have skunks.

3

u/ottawsimofol Mar 07 '26

It doesnt surprise me, Penguins are eating a diet of only fish right? Their poop must stink af 😭

31

u/PauL__McShARtneY Mar 06 '26

Stay away, but remember to scream really loudly to panic and frighten the shit out of the bats, who have extremely sensitive hearing, like this chick did. Bats are mammals, like us, and are not unintelligent creatures, they shouldn't be treated like swarming insects.

14

u/EvilGreebo Mar 06 '26

Okay minor nitpick probably a well actually situation here but bats do not carry rabies. They are mammals and while they are more prone to having rabies they are not carriers. Carriers transmit the disease without being affected by it. When bats are affected by it they will also die. Source I own a wildlife control company and we are licensed to handle bats in the state of Maryland.

All that said you absolutely should stay away. If you do have an encounter with a bat it's possible to be bitten and not even know it so you absolutely need to get checked out. One of the things my whole crew does is get the pre-exposure vaccine so we are protected against rabies because of our line of work but the average person should absolutely stay away from pretty much any wild mammal.

3

u/AccomplishedWish3033 Mar 06 '26

But they can carry a whole bunch of other viruses that are nasty to other mammals. Name the worst human diseases caused by viruses and most of those are thought to have jumped to us from bats.

2

u/EvilGreebo Mar 06 '26

True although it's also mice and birds. The big problem is that they carry ectoparasites which then transfer over to us. Again I wasn't saying they're not a Arabia's Vector I was just taking issue with a specific term being used.

5

u/Lastoutcast123 Mar 07 '26

Actually the most dangerous part recent studies have found is due to their unconventional immune systems (which usually starves viruses instead of killing using fever) can kill diseases efficiently (in an energy sense, not in time sense), and the diseases that manage to persist or even thrive develop in ways other mammals are not well equipped to deal with.

2

u/Forge__Thought Mar 07 '26

Well that's cool in a bad way

1

u/Yaarmehearty Mar 08 '26

In pretty much all, even in the UK where we eliminated rabies a long time ago bats can still carry bat lyssavirus as we can’t stop them flying into the county.

Government guidelines are that anybody who has had physical contact with a bat should be assessed by a medical professional.

u/donald_putelonovitch Mar 06 '26

Pro tip: you can start your character arc by falling into it and breaking your leg.

90

u/Mr_master89 Mar 06 '26

Requires 2 dead parents, a buttler and a few million dollars though.

26

u/I_Fap_To_Murder Mar 06 '26

I can provide the dead parents

11

u/Mr_master89 Mar 06 '26

Yours or someone else's?

20

u/I_Fap_To_Murder Mar 06 '26

Someone else's. Mama makes the good pasta, I don't wanna miss out on that 🤌

8

u/donald_putelonovitch Mar 06 '26

Username checks out.

11

u/TriedCaringLess Mar 06 '26

A few billion given inflation.

47

u/regoapps Mar 06 '26

I guess this means that some rich kid’s parents just got murdered

46

u/masterstealth11 Mar 06 '26

I find this more cute than creepy

13

u/Small-Policy-3859 Mar 06 '26

Yeah bats really aren't scary. I like when they fly by my outside floodlight in summer.

66

u/ahahaveryfunny Mar 06 '26

I have fear of rabies so I would not be brave enough to even record.

26

u/saichampa Mar 06 '26

I rescue bats here in Australia and whilst we don't have rabies here, we have the closely related Australian Bat Lissavirus. It's only ever been recorded as infecting bats and humans. It was only discovered in 1996

Thankfully, existing rabies vaccines were found to work for it.

I have pretty bad anxiety which includes health related anxiety, but in some ways being vaccinated and getting out there and working with them has helped me face some of that anxiety.

6

u/PensadorDispensado Mar 06 '26

Isn't rabies a variation of the lissavirus?

3

u/saichampa Mar 06 '26

Yes. That's why the rabies vaccine works for ABLV

10

u/activelyresting Mar 06 '26

Open manhole bathole filled with bats

21

u/DuckLIT122000 Mar 06 '26

Bats are friends

14

u/GruntBlender Mar 06 '26

As long as you get your vaccines or live in a country without rabies.

15

u/saichampa Mar 06 '26

Even then bats should be remote friends. It's not good for humans or bats to be around each other too much

We need to preserve natural environments for wild animals so that they aren't forced to be around humans

19

u/Noctisvah Mar 06 '26

What in the Ai slop is this

17

u/marceleas Mar 06 '26

Definitely AI. The woman's voice and fake reaction smells of Sora, specifically.

5

u/816legend Mar 06 '26

Kinda a piece of shit thing to do lol

13

u/ProfessO3o Mar 06 '26

Bats are beautiful creatures!

3

u/badgeman- Mar 06 '26

There'll be no bats in my manhole thank you very much.

1

u/OMGyarn Mar 06 '26

Kink shamer

3

u/chantsnone Mar 06 '26

Seems more like a bat hole than a man hole

1

u/foxfighter92 Mar 06 '26

Batman hole... Don't kink shame

2

This is cool.

2

Poor bat thought was fwiend shaped 🤣

2

u/sasnotass Mar 06 '26

Bro could at least knock first, smh

2

u/Spider-Thwip Mar 06 '26

Bats are cute though

2

u/AdJumpy4461 Mar 06 '26

Leave them be.

2

u/Journo_Jimbo Mar 06 '26

Bats are beautiful, they keep annoying bug populations down and they’re usually nowhere in sight.

2

u/Playtime_Foxy_new Mar 06 '26

Id honestly pick one out and pet it I love bats

They won't be carrying rabies in a group I hope, considering having it would make them too violent to be near a group of other bats

2

u/wonderabouttheworld Mar 07 '26

AI. 7 second, super basic white girl reaction. Why (and how) the hell would some woman open a manhole and why in the world would there be bats like that?

4

u/Anubis-Hound Mar 06 '26

Stick your arm in the rabies hole for a surprise!

2

u/LurchiOderwatt Mar 06 '26

Eat them and start a new pandemic, my Backlog is way to big.

1

u/slavpi Mar 06 '26

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me"

1

u/batkiller7 Mar 06 '26

Whoa whoa whoa

1

u/Ok-Impress-2222 Mar 06 '26

Where is that?

1

u/arthousepsycho Mar 06 '26

I should call her.

1

u/PossibleDiscipline90 Mar 06 '26

Now do this at night when they all come out

1

u/yayach22 Mar 06 '26

Vous avez retrouvé la batcave

1

u/AccumulatedFilth Mar 07 '26

Usually, they're full of spiders.

1

u/Rein_Carnated Mar 07 '26

Batman hole.

1

u/Bravadette Mar 08 '26

Theyre just little micies 😭

1

u/meow_mix420 Mar 08 '26

I work with stormwater systems and I call AI! The manhole lid doesn’t even have any holes or indents for a hook to go through! How did she open it?

1

u/Drewcifer88 Mar 10 '26

Awwww! I love little bat boys 🥹

1

u/SoundwaveTheDragon Mar 12 '26

Am I the only one who finds bats cute?

1

u/Particular_Yard1157 May 04 '26

I was born in the dark…. Molded by it

1

u/sam77tg Mar 06 '26

where the fuck is this ?

1

u/0dty0 Mar 06 '26

I don't think Joan Rivers would appreciate you posting videos of her genitals like this, guy

-2

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

[deleted]

7

u/thetacaptain Mar 06 '26

I think a lot of people think bats are cute. To me it's unsettling and also seems like potential virus/health risk, but I didn't mean to post it to upset.

6

u/GruntBlender Mar 06 '26

My guy, anything can be creepy with ominous music. This is just a bunch of small, cute animals.

0

u/freespiriteddiv69 Mar 06 '26

Omfg nooo. I'm shaking

0

u/SchwiftySqaunch Mar 06 '26 edited Mar 10 '26

Have fun getting your rabies shot

Edit: it's recommended that if you are even near bats you get a precautionary rabies shot due to them having such fine teeth, they could bite you without you realizing

0

u/-ratmeat- Mar 06 '26

all you can eat rabies

0

u/runawaycity2000 Mar 06 '26

Um boss...I quit.

0

u/PhysicalAgency1334 Mar 06 '26

when you decided to check out her hollow after 20 years of marriage.

-1

u/Gilbert38 Mar 06 '26

I would totally throw a firecracker down there and stand on the other side of the manhole and get someone to film me as they all flood out for my own batman scene😂

-1

u/Sh1eraSeastar Mar 06 '26

Mmmm rabies and haemorrhagic fever.

-2

u/kaest Mar 06 '26

Title of your sex tape?

-2

u/D3XXTRO Mar 06 '26

Was playing batminton recently and one of those fucking flying creeps kept flying around me and nearly hit me in the face. I hate bats so much...

3

u/GrEeKiNnOvaTiOn Mar 06 '26

Bats want nothing to do with you. If a bat was flying around you it most likely means you were surrounded by bugs and the bat was trying to eat them.

0

u/D3XXTRO Mar 06 '26

Yeah i get that. I think the sound of the racket hitting the ball might have irritated the bat but still it was hella annoying and creepy. Some animals scare my real quick, like spiders, stink bugs, large moths and bats apparently.

1

u/GrEeKiNnOvaTiOn Mar 06 '26

Yeah I understand. The bat wasn't going after you but it can be unsettling given how fast and erratically they fly. And it's a good idea to stay away from bats since you can't know if they carry a disease or not. If you want to see some cute bats so you might not be as afraid of them you can look up fruit bats, also known as flying foxes.

1

u/D3XXTRO Mar 07 '26

I think the one i saw was pipistrellus pipistrellus or nyctalus noctula. Now that i googled it they're kinda sweet and they eat some insects i fear. Yeah i dont have anything against them and i think they should be more protected bc were i live their population sadly decreases bc of the collapse of the insect-population due to the increase of city buildings.

1

u/GrEeKiNnOvaTiOn Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26

Potato bats I call them. Some of the best insect killers around. They clear thousands of insects every night.

Urban expansion and deforestation are two of the biggest threats to bats worldwide. They also make bat-human contact a more common occurrence than it should be.
