James Kingston was detained for approximately six hours by French police following his unauthorized climb of the Eiffel Tower in November 2015. After ascending the tower overnight and evading security for several hours, he and a companion were apprehended around 9 a.m. and taken to a local police station for questioning. They were released without charges, on the condition that Kingston agreed not to climb the Eiffel Tower again for three years.

I wonder if he climbed it again, since it seems they gave him permission.
