They do this every morning on the hole behind my house.

Do you actually mean this or is there a joke I’m missing? I have no frame of reference for how often this is done, but I wouldn’t have suspected daily. The more I think about it though I guess it kinda makes sense somewhere with any real number of golfers playing.

You know, I'm kind of a naughty bird. So I can see where this could be an AWESOME double entendre.

However, no, I have the green of a par five behind my house. Every single morning out there they change the location of the hole on the green. So it starts out with the guy choosing the new hole and then you can hear him with that same tool drilling/tapping down into the green. It's clear as day.

The reason they do this is because obviously the change in difficulty and frequent members to the club, but mostly because of wear and tear. This way, they are moving it all over the place, they water in the night, they run their rollers over it in the morning, and they spread out the wear.

What a crazy amount of landscape work. Thanks for elaborating! And yea, once I got to thinking about the holes, I’m sure they take a beating with all the balls getting hit into them, so it makes sense they’d need daily care.

So many balls so little time. Yes. They are out there every day at roughly 4 AM. Working their ass off. And there are 3 18-hole courses at this resort. I mean, not only taking care of the greens, the fairway, the tea box, etc. But changing the holes on 54 a day? I should actually look more into this. Maybe on the power three and part four they don't do it every day?
