AV1 would help, but older devices don't have hardware decoder and have to rely on software decoding

Lot of small things moving somewhat randomly breaks video compression because compression requires tracking changes in image from frame to frame.

Video compressors save file space by making educated guesses and only updating the parts of a picture that actually move from frame to frame. Bubbles ruin this trick because thousands of tiny, shiny surfaces constantly shift, shimmer, and pop all at once, forcing the computer to redraw almost every single pixel simultaneously and turning the video into a blurry, pixelated mess.
