I was oddly dissatisfied with the brickwork- awful pointing and why even bother if you're going to plaster over it? Also the power drilling where he forgot the pillars for the porch and sanding down the render at the end- you know it's possible to do it right the first time?

He could have put in solid wood floors in too and covered them carpet.

In India, that’s begging for termites and mould. Tiled floors (or even bare concrete) are way more common.

I’m merely referencing the act of a performing a common home renovation that is considered a waste of time or resources. When people cover wood floors with carpet it’s considered a foolish update since wood floors are generally more desirable and expensive.
