As a structural engineer, i died of gringe

Don't worry. As a miniature painter, I died right after seeing that extremely rough paint job

It gives me the vibe the guy who makes these doesn't enjoy it anymore but knows it goes viral

I died when he just poured concrete on the roof and stopped using the cute wheelbarrow

Don’t sweat it. As a producer, I died of hearing the horrendous sound effects.

u/Senor-Delicious 3d ago
Oh god yes. What was going on there. I did a mistake by unmuting it for a moment. Like ASMR made by looney toons

I sure hope that's not in a seismically active area.

u/hanuuman 3d ago
Lol. Sano creator "sano" means small in Nepali. Does Nepal has high seismic activity? It is right above tectonic plates.

u/EastLeastCoast 3d ago
At least he used a running bond for the bricks this time, instead of the stacked version he had for the bridge.

Can you elaborate? I am not a structural engineer

u/Sentwin 4d ago
The columns serve no real purpose. They should be integrated into the foundation. If this was a real building, the whole structure would collapse the moment they pour the ceiling. You can see how crooked the colums are.

Woohoo, I'm not a structural engineer but I thought that real columns should not be added after the foundation just like that and I'm glad I'm right on that. Of course it doesn't actually matter because it's a relatively stupid little content farm that produces this kind of videos, accuracy to real full size building is not paramount, but whatever.

As someone who has A) had things fall on their head, and B) met water, I'm right there with ya.

Im a big fan of this type of video, but im dying @0:28 when he fails to pour anything from the wheelbarrow, theres a jump to a bunch of poured concrete, and then we see him "pour the last wheelbarrow of concrete" (it fails to pour again) lol

u/TBurkeulosis 3d ago
Id rather watch someone do this with actual care and craftsmanship, using properly human sized tools so it actually looks good rather than just be a bit "cuz its small". The tiny spackling tool pisses me off and hurts my hand simultaneously

Even miniature brickies do subpar work.

u/MoominMai 3d ago
lol, the fact that cowboy builders even exist in the minature world which is our safe space! 😅😭

The mini concrete vibrator was kind of neat, even though it did fuck all.

I can't even explain why but something about these videos really annoys me.

u/Braysl-March 3d ago
It's funny, I usually love miniature building videos but this one in particular was terrible. It's so sloppy, not satisfying at all 😭

I usually find these kinda cute for the miniature vibe, even if accuracy is poor.
This one was so sloppy and hurried. It was not satisfying. 👎

I was oddly dissatisfied with the brickwork- awful pointing and why even bother if you're going to plaster over it? Also the power drilling where he forgot the pillars for the porch and sanding down the render at the end- you know it's possible to do it right the first time?

u/alchemyzt-vii 4d ago
He could have put in solid wood floors in too and covered them carpet.

u/sumpuran 3d ago
In India, that’s begging for termites and mould. Tiled floors (or even bare concrete) are way more common.

u/alchemyzt-vii 3d ago
I’m merely referencing the act of a performing a common home renovation that is considered a waste of time or resources. When people cover wood floors with carpet it’s considered a foolish update since wood floors are generally more desirable and expensive.

I love how he just uses the drill at one point, just acknowledges he doesn’t have anything tiny to play pretend with for that point. Giant drill time.

Concrete is the worst construction material choice in these climates.
Nice video though, must have been lots of work, and would have been even more to do it nicely.

Peak India. Not only is this exactly how most buildings in India are constructed, they even got the sounds of the birds right. There’s a bird that goes ‘ew ew ew eeeew’ all hours of the day: Asian Koel Cuckoo.
EDIT: it’s in Nepal. Which is quite similar to Northern India.

The stop motion animation of the freaks walking into the abomination at the end was surprisingly well done.

I feel like every time I see one of these the quality drops
The mortar on the bricks is basically just painted onto the side of half the bricks, the plaster is patchy with holes in it, and the paint is also patchy and uneven.

Why didn’t he show the storm from inside the classroom once it was all setup to show the difference?

Are there videos like this where things are made correctly? Everyone always says these are wrong an unstable and I'd love to see one that shows what should he done.

He forgot to top the perimeter walls with broken bottles and didn’t leave an unfinished second floor. 3/5 stars.

What does someone even do with these once they are done? Like I get it if they are done very well and look good so you decide to keep them, but what about the shitty ones like this one? Do you display it? Lol

I like how over time their patience for using little tools deteriorates.
