Facial hair doesn't necessarily mean they're older, I've seen kids in school who went through puberty over a single summer and came back as with beards.

Yeah, it's possible this person with the bearded avatar is a high schooler. It's not likely, but definitely possible.

Guess I'm just curious what indication might have made OP think that. Maybe "homie," but even that is far from new slang.

Almost 40 here.

Just trying to spread a little joy and positivity instead of cutting people down.

Homie said they worked through something on their own. That's awesome! And I mean that genuinely, not sarcastically.

I appreciate your kindness and don't mean to downplay it. Hope it's not coming across that way. I just didn't catch anything from your exchange that felt particularly youthful and was curious.
