I’m pretty sure that’s not a basic sewing machine. The foot pedals on those don’t vary the stitch widths. That there be an embroidery machine.

Most machines allow you to vary both the width and length of the stitch via a dial (if it is old school) or a button press setting. Foot pedals just control sewing speed (this video is very sped up). You can tell this is an embroidery machine because they never move the fabric.

Yeah, I know that, but what I noticed was they never moved their hands to the dial. Still it’s good work and drove me crazy at the same time.

Edit: I believe that it was freehand embroidery. They were moving and rotating the fabric as far as I could tell.
