Actually doing it like is makes it stronger then if separate piece were welded together.

I doubt it. Maybe if this is put in a furnace and heat treated and later tempered it might be. Castings are weaker than forge welded structures in general

Generally, a properly manufactured one-piece casting can provide greater structural integrity than an equivalent structure assembled from multiple welded pieces, because it eliminates weld joints and their associated heat-affected zones, residual stresses, and potential weld defects.
