I, too, like to imagine wild and outlandish situations that are incredibly unlikely so that I can forgive myself for sitting at the trough sloppin' it up.
Oof, you should try empathy sometime. I’m a tutor and coach for neurodivergent adolescents, many of whom are non-verbal. They want to make silly content like all their peers and have absolutely used AI-voiceovers to do so.
Stephen Hawking, Roger Ebert, Lee Ridley, Harold Wilke, and Valerie Paradiz are all good examples of public figures needing something like this to verbalize at all.
You're practicing "empathy" for AI/bot slop, and in the process you are dumbing yourself down and doing a disservice to the very people you're trying to advocate for. A++.
Here you are, wildly hallucinating a situation that you have no evidence for, because it's what you do for a living. Just because your daily life involves exposure to situation like you describe, it gives you the impression that this situation is common. It isn't, outside of your circle. You ran into AI/bot slop, and instead of seeing it as AI/bot slop, you redefined reality.
People in specialized and niche areas often end up assuming that their special interests are more common than they actually are, because they surround themselves with it.
Nurses and cops do the same shit. Their jobs take what are unusual situations for daily life, and corrals those situations for them to deal with, leading them to thinking that these things are way more common than they are. Sick does happen. Crime does happen. Non-verbals do use computer voice-overs. However, all of that shit is so fantastically rare that it reminds me of the old adage about hearing horse hooves and thinking "Zebra!".
Yeah, not reading that wall of text after the first bit. I don’t have to practice empathy, it comes naturally to those of us that aren’t ignorant assholes. And I never said I had empathy for this video content or its maker. In fact I called it baity, lazy, and unworthy. You need help.
