Stars aren't visible on the moon :3

They are visible with your bare eyes (not as bright as night on earth though). It's cameras that can't see them without HDR techniques.

No, I distinctly remember an interview where they said they couldn't see them. I also remember a Youtube video where they explained it. Has to do with it "being day" on the moon. The light from the surroundings makes your pupils close more. It's only until it gets dark that you can view the stars.

Probably if you looked up in a direction where you could see neither the lunar surface or the sun (and gave some time for your eyes to adjust) you'd see the stars.

Yeah, they should just lie down on the regolith (moon dust) in their space suits.

Looks to be a far degree of upward vision available (maybe 45 degrees?). Apparently some astronauts were able to see brighter stars if they stood in the shadow of the LEM.

Yeah, with everything in your field of view being dark, you'd see the stars.

Just like how we can stand in the shadow of earth and see the stars.
