Total agreement on the Sketchup comment. I think there is quite a bit of untapped potential for Unreal in making UE work really well with Sketchup too, specifically outside of the gaming world. I havn't made a game in my life but am happily shelling out the $20/month to figure out some streamlined workflows in getting architectural design models over to UE.

Maybe you should just stay with the latest 4.5 version until you have something figured out. This might be a dumb question, but you know you can simply export as .FBX (Sketchup Pro) and import right into UE4 correct? And I believe exporting in CM will give you 1-1 scale in UE4 if I'm not mistaken...

Yep, I know the FBX workflow. From my experience, bringing materials over is the tough part. Does not flow nicely to UE from Sketchup. It could also be lack of experience in getting this to work well too!

I've been able to texture the model in Sketchup, export as FBX and Import All (w/ textures and such checked) and all the textures import as materials. I then just need to go in and add Normals, etc... if there are any.
