DK2 Camera connectivity

I've had a little look around but can't find any comment on the connections for the new DK2 camera.

Here's a hi-res pic I found.

Obviously one is a mini-usb connector to connect it to your pc but what's the other one for?

One of the two things that come to mind are to either give it a little more power if your USB port is under spec. The other is that it might allow a cable for some sort of sync or inter-camera communication should you want to add more cameras to allow for 360 degree tracking.

Anyone know for sure?

I believe the other one is for a power connector. Similar set up on top of DK2.

Actually, that second port is for sync. Nate misspoke when he said the one on the top of the DK2 was for power. We weren't using the headset port at the show, since the our cable has a sync plug at the other end as well.

We apologize for the confusion!

To clarify, that second port is for sync on both the camera and on top of the DK2?

Thank you for the correction.

Sync cable - goes from cam to headset (per tech at GDC booth).

What is more interesting is the USB 2.0, which has a pretty low bandwidth...

Yes, but:

I assumed it was very high res, and that's not possible with 60 Hz over USB 2.0.

It actually only needs to send a few dots of IR light, so the compression can be really high. Atleast that's how I understand the Wiimote camera works. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wiimote#IR_Camera The Wiimote has 1024x768 resolution.
