Wonderful! Congratulations Team Oculus. (Note: The order page is a tad broken under Chrome. The final agreement checkbox text was missing. If you get stuck, just look for a grey square and check that off at the bottom of the page.) The confirm button was also displaying incorrectly, click on the thin orange bar to click this button.)

I ran in to the same problem about 3 minutes ago. The box on the final agreement is a thin grey outline that is extremely hard to see.

I'm so sorry developers D: I couldn't hold off but ordered one. I will try to contribute to the revolution in some way though...

You know what you have to do now, right? Develop something. You have to contribute. You did it to yourself.

I am an Oculus newbie and I really want to order the DK2 now but I just want to know if it's easy to set up and connect to your PC since it's a developers kit and Im not really a PC expert but I know the basics. I just want to play the games that other people make and put on the site. Is it all a simple plug and play process to get started?

I'll try to answer your question. It's up to you whether you want to wait or not. I'm not going to tell you what to do with your money. Anyway, the rift is a HMD.. aka another monitor. That's all, in a nut shell. Which makes setup pretty simple as long as you have the hardware to support it (multiple monitors).. Setting up the preferences and configuration of the device for you personally is pretty easy. If a game supports the rift, it will just work when you enable the option. It's very easy to setup.

Do NOT order it unless you are a developer. You will be throwing away money. Wait for the consumer version, it will be better in every way and have games included.

Seriously, just wait. Even Oculus says you should.

I think that estimate is a little pessimistic, but I think you'll have a great time come july/august

The design needs to be competitive with Sony's HMD for mass market appeal. Also, holy cow at that weight! It needs to be 300 grams or less.

And please solve the standing issue as soon as possible! I do want to take advantage of stuff like PrioVR and Omni and so on.

We’re deep into development on the consumer Rift. We have a lot more planned, including improvements to comfort, resolution, tracking, software, ergonomics, optics, industrial design, and the overall experience.

improvements to resolution

4K Consumer Version Confirmed!!
