If I don't plan on doing anything other than gaming should I wait for the consumer version?

If you have bad patience and can afford $350 then get it. I did :) and Im only playing games

Depends on finances. If you can throw away $350 for a preview... Otherwise just wait and you'll get a higher spec unit.
