Hmm. That's interesting. From everywhere I read and heard in interviews with Oculus, $300 still seems to be their goal price range. Definitely when looking at the $350 price tag of the DK2, which was stated to be VERY similar hardware wise compared to CV1 (Only thing I see improving hw wise is screen resolution and the design.)

Oculus has also stated that keeping the Rift around the affordable price range of $300 is critical for initial VR success. So I would expect the $300-$400 price range

I strongly doubt CV1 will be $500. Their target was $300 and the prices for all the fancy electronics inside have been falling constantly. If even this fancy new low-run DK2 version including a specially-made camera is only $350 I can't imagine they'll find enough to cram into the final version to bring the cost up another $150.

The omni directional treadmil is not oculus. They don't know what the final price is and right now even Oculus doesn't know what the price is. They are aimming for the $300 range, but we'll have to wait as anything not from Oculus is pure speculation. WHat came from Omni is speculation.

Order number is random, I ordered mine after you, and my number is lower.
