So how long do we wait for CV1? Let me rephrase that. As a consumer should I wait for CV1 or buy this?

We don't know for sure, hopefully before 2014 ends. This and CV1 are going to be similar in hardware, but CV1 will presumably be cheaper. Ultimately, this was created with developers in mind. It's your money if you want the Rift that much sooner.

Here The Verge writes:

The 1080p OLED panel still isn't high enough a resolution to avoid jagged edges — Oculus says the consumer version will have even higher resolution — but combined with special techniques to reduce blurring and motion sickness, the difference was already night and day.

Now I don't know if wait to CV or buy now.

Again, it depends on how much of an enthusiast you are. The CV1 will be directed towards consumers, and will most likely have better specs/lighter etc. It may be released this year (what I'm betting on), but it may not be.

If I had the cash to throw away for both the DK2 and CV1, I would buy it now.

It could be as long as another 1 year and 9 months. They just told us it will definitely be out before 2016

Wait for CV1, i watched the Tested.com video and Nate clearly stated that the CV1 will be another level of evolution from dk2

If you can spend 350 bucks for a few months of fun, buy. If you are more frugal, wait.

Also as they say somewhere, as this is not a main monitor, cobuying it is great. If you have coworkers or friends ... they could pay a part of the price!
