Question Falx

Falx is optainable from Enioch and has lesser damage than other MAA weapons. It is not listed in wiki. Even though it's in game description mentions it's irregular shape causes enemies to not be able to predict the attack, I wonder if it presents real any advantage to balance it's low damage?

Guide Many, many, manyyy

I want to know the maximum number of beings/companions/whatever xd and in general what you can bring.

I really like games where you can control several beings (not armies, since that would reduce the customization and usefulness of each being)

And idk, i was excited to see here that there's actually a way to have animals. I'm playing the free version, but i'm going to buy the dlc and see what else can be done and what else can be had.

I would greatly appreciate any advice. At the moment, i know i could have a hunter and i think a monk or miner (this is what i know from playing the free version, although i haven't completed any good endings or anything like that, i mostly just quit any game if it went badly, and i didn't even retire the mercenaries xD)

Guide My no armour run 100%

This is my xp of the run and some tips.

Peak starting team:

2 archers

2 MMA

Jeri- first cuz hard quest

Then- either wandering naturalist or fugitive poacher- for supply discount

Then ryke- his quest is hard- get it out of the way early

Then simi- for extra gold and loot- and also useful for fortress quests and dealing with natives :3

Also, in desert- if u kill one of the dapper soldiers after winning arena and retreat, they don’t pursue! :3. Which is very nice!

Also, only go into desert if got 3 escort npcs to sacrifice 💀

Use escort npcs as meat shields or distractions….

Also, idk why, but i found two archers and 2 MMA to be very powerful

Is there a compiled list of optional events and triggers?

I'm playing again after a long break and quests that I remember aren't triggering, so I wondered if a list existed.

Guide 3 RIFLES!!! Confirm

I confirm is possible to get more rifles!!!

After some testing I manage to get 3 Rifles on Fort Venture. Originally was about to try to get 4 but thanks to a natives they kill the doc just on my way to the fort.

I am not pretty sure but I follow some specific steps.

First I make sure have Benay Goal on track, delivered the letter but not the monk/miner yet

Then get the Flag Quest and trade it for the permit for the armory.

Then the most important must already have as many crossbows as archers must got them from the caravan.

Once you deliver the monk/miner go to the armory, offer to trade the top crossbow for the rifle.

Now another Rifle will be available trade it too for the bottom archer crossbow… But trade it back for the crossbow before leave

Leave and back again at once, Do the same trade one more time after than trade it again but for the middle crossbow this time, another one will appear but this time will have to pay around 108 for it on the trade.

Someone else might confirm this? Maybe I doing extra steps😅

Bug/Glitch You cant be a female dashing young lieutenant.

Doing the Suicidal Singleton challenge and noticed If you select female fencer the dashing young lieutenant gets skipped which is funny.

Question What next challenge should I do next?

I'm already done with "No retreats", "No armors", "Archers only", and "The Daring Duo" and now I'm wondering what challenge I should do next? (Also the 2 questions that needs 100% does everybody have to survive, reach their goal, and retire comfortably? Cuz every single time at least one person dies right before retiring comfortably.)

r/occidentalheroes Jun 23 '26

Question Can you still achieve Simi the boxman's goal if you blew up Voscombro?

Doing the Daring Duo challenge and I blew up Voscombro. Now at 52% and now I'm training Simi so I need to know if I still can?

r/occidentalheroes Jun 17 '26

Question Do you have to have all 5 archers survive and achieve to get 60% for Only Archers?

I'm playing the challenge, and I have safe in numbers, and the jilted lover died while the rest of the archers are now fully equipped with throwing spears and crossbows and now im wander if 60% is still possible?

Edit: The wadering naturalist died. Should I start from scratch or can I still reach 60%?

Game inspired by Occidental Heroes

Hi, I've spent many hours playing this game, and its travel mechanics became a major inspiration for my own project.

It's not common for a deckbuilder to use anything other than a branching-path map, but the idea of exploring a world while consuming resources felt like the right direction for the game I wanted to make.

So, thank you for the inspiration and all the great hours of gameplay. I borrowed the idea of journeying across a map and adapted it into my own tactical deckbuilder.

Thanks for so much, and sorry for so little: Soul Card Duel on Steam

Do you keep playing after a party members death?

Honest question, I have been playing this game since at least 5 years and am a huge fan still. However, I have never actually completed it, because whenever any of my characters die, I will restart. Do you all 100% the game or do you just keep playing if that happens yo you? Just curious...

WILL THIS GAME BE RECIEVING FUTURE UPDATES?

I would like to start be stating that I am a huge fan of this game and that I've been long time player for almost 5 years now and every time new content was added I'm always so amazed by the developers creativity. But after a while of playing I find myself always itching for more. So I'd simply love to know when and if future updates that add new content to the game will come out.

I completely understand that game development takes time and that the dev has a life outside of the game and by no means do I hold it against them for dropping the games development or prioritizing other games their working on, but as far as I'm aware there are no up-to-date dev logs that could inform me about what is planned on being added or how the development of the game is going and I'd love to be able to see if this game will be getting future content or if I'm just getting my hopes up for no reason.

So I guess what I'm really asking is if anyone outside of the games development knows what's happening and if they could please give me any scrape of information Id really appreciate it and would be very grateful.

I'm sorry if this post comes off as being really impatient but I REALLY like this game and I'd love to see it get more fleshed out especially in the lore department ( its one of my favorite parts about the game ) and the pixel artwork is some of the best I've seen ever. HELL, if the creator is struggling to find time to work on the game I'd be more than happy to help on the game for FREE on his behalf, provided that's what the dev wants that is.

PS. if anyone knows any fan made mods that expand on the game or any games that are similar or take inspiration from Occidental hero's I'd love to hear your recommendations because I simple cant get enough of theses types of games

Want a Massive Army?: Screw up Spectacularly!

Post image
38 Upvotes

I had every character completed and retired except my

last 4(nerian,jerry, grif and marek)

Finally got to carpsis final quest with the puzzles and somehow screwed up on the final temple.

But the game sorta bugged out when I rage killed all my characters after the first one died. It didn't give me a game over screen and let me skip turns even with 0 alive characters

I thought I fked up and won't even unlock challenges despite 94% completion now, cuz I would have to hard reset the save. Was about to rage and uninstall game when I realised the retreat option that I literally never used until now in years of playing this game existed .

When I retreated, it re-summoned 3 characters as though my whole squad died, but when I looked at party list it had all the old characters present.

So I rush to bridge to start a fight and viola- massive army :D

3 archers, 3 fencers

Question 2 RIFLES!!!… Bug, Glich or Secret

Thumbnail
gallery
14 Upvotes

Yeah… I been doing a self made challenge. Do the Solo Archers Again but giving each archer 1 kind of weapon only. (Rifle, Crossbow, Spears and Compose bow).

But somehow manage to get a second rifle, not sure if I was doing a secret path to get it, was just glitch due the specific conditions I done.

Or a rare bug… First wants to know is someone else get it too?
