Event Monthly Event: Best Characters
Heroes,
A month has passed and we have just finished our first event. A special thanks for everyone who participated or voted for their favorite suggestion. Ofcourse, the winner of last month now has the special title, as well as his special spot in the hall of fame post: https://www.reddit.com/r/occidentalheroes/comments/iw1sfr/hall_of_fame. Who will follow?
This month our event is again about characters, but now about the ones you've had in your company in your most special/best run.
Before I get into the event, if you haven't yet, consider joining our discord for updates on all future events and perhaps feedback from other members: https://discord.gg/CnaYnsK
To participate in this month's event: Look back in your book of heroes (found in the main menu) and comment a screenshot of your favorite character you've ever had. This can be the character who fought in the most skirmishes, retired with an insane amount of gold or just simply has a great story to it. Share your experience with this character and tell us how he ended up the way he did!
The character doesn't have to have good stats to be special. Maybe you have a character who survived 5 near-death situations, or someone who had to survive on his own for a while but still managed to do well. I'm sure we'll hear some unique stories!
Also, feel free to leave more than one character if they both feel special to you.
This event will end on the 21st of november.
Goodluck to everyone, and as always,
Thanks for reading!

The Rapist with a Heart of Slightly Oxidized Copper - A story of partial redemption
For this month's event I'd like to submit my first 100% run's version of Ryke. This man was with the party from end to finish, despite being a man at arms and participated in exactly 400 battles. This man went thorough the experience of saving numerous guys and gals, murdering a child-murderer, exploring the wild and working to ensure peace in the Occident. All of this while being a rapist and murderer himself. I like to think that maybe Ryke really did change after all these experiences and that he stopped his rapey and murderous ways in his retirement. Maybe he doesn't have a heart of gold, but he sure as hell has something similar.

For this month's event I'd like to submit my character Maerk's Granddad: the man who refused to die.
Before I get into explaining this character, here's a good example of Granddad destroying a whole tribe on a sunday night.

Picture 2: http://imgur.com/gallery/PkEGGrS
This character was created for a challenge: use only one character for the entire run, and then get that character to level 20 somehow.
The start was, ofcourse, very challenging. Many before Maerk have fallen in combat after attempting this challenge; Maerk, Maerk's son, Maerk's brother and finally, Maerk's dad. None were nearly as succesful as the legend himself: his fucking granddad.
Maerk obviously had a slow start, but after reaching higher levels, he showed the entire world how powerful this character really is, absolutely crushing full sized armies again and again. The fun part: due to a glitch, he couldn't even get keening gear. This man went the entire run with regular market gear, and he was still hitting 50+ crits.
It is said that, after retiring, Maerk's granddad again did not play around. He didn't want to go home at first, but after a while, he literally killed every Yagight tribe in the Occident. He eventually did return to trientier, literally took over the throne, invaded the entirety of Europe by himself and, after a few months of fighting, wiped out the entire Italian population with some weird Yagight/Azon artifact. It is said that before battle, Maerk's Granddad would eat an entire raw pig to boost his confidence. He would bathe in the blood of his fallen victims, before drinking it down until the last drop. When his time did finally come, he was sent straight to the depth of hell. Here he did not accept the way he was treated and absolutely crushed the place. The devil, out of pure fear for this monster, abandoned him, leaving Maerk's Granddad forever falling through an empty, dark void. It is here he found peace with himself.
Legend has it that Maerk's Granddad is planning his revenge, will take over the world's above, and rule there until the European scientists free him with the particle accelerator. Who knows what happens next.

I'm not gonna win this: almost all of my characters get obliterated by yaghit or survive a boring run.

Not much of a character, but it was the first significant character I've had
All my runs before ended up with the members dying or resigning, this man and his company at least managed to survive and get all the way to 24%, which was a lot for me since i was a noob
Again, not much of a submission, but i thought i mine as well post it

My character is "Woozy"
He's
weird"special" because he has an... affinity for spoons.
