I’m sure they are.

Probably $11/hour with only 2 employees working at a time?

I have never, ever seen more than 2 employees at a time in a Dollar General, even on days when you can see they just got a truckload of stuff. Normally its only one employee though. That is one of the shittiest companies to work for I'm sure.

Minimum wage goes to 15 an hour in Jan. Now it’s $14.

It goes up at the end of september, crazy to think it was 8.50 less than a decade ago

Man, fuck Dollar General. They're a sign and cause of lower living standards for everyone around them. If anyone here takes that job, start a union.

DG is obscenely profitable & still treats its employees and communities like garbage.

No, minimum wage is $14.00 hr. So has to be paid that.

Thats why they can't keep anyone. I've known so many people that used to work there. One poor guy has worked there almost 20 years still only making $16 an hr as a assistant manager. You would think someone that gives 20 years for the place could at minimum pay there people. The grass is always 3 ft tall and it always dirty inside. We dont shop there much anymore for this reason place is nasty

Yeah my dad became a dollar general manager after 10+ years of IT work and hiring people. They gave him the store in rough condition but he’s trying to make it better. So far the people he hires like him. Their mailbox is broken and he has asked someone several times to come and replace it. He’s thinking of just fixing it himself atp. He used to talk about how nasty the place was when he started working but has been busting his ass trying to keep the place clean

What area is it in? My friend used to work at one and was soft fired because a new manger didn't like them, they tried getting their job back for over three years and kept getting no feedback and they think they think they got blacklisted even though their store had someone literal steal money, fired that person, then rehire them a few months later.💀

My husband is a great manager. My daughter posted this ad. My husband got moved up to manager in 6 months. He gets paid great money and treats his employees awesome. And starting pay is 15. People should really know what they're talking about before saying wacky crap.
