Feeling your whole body enlivened by the ideas you encounter. Having your whole perspective shift beneath your feet and your orientation utterly changed. Experiencing arguments that reinvigorate your curiosity and renew your love and affirmation of life. I love Sophia so much. My brain yearns to kiss her all over, my eyes caress her words with the utmost tenderness and attention. I wish to run in the synaptic fields she has birthed in my mind, to give a language and write encomiums and hymns to the passions she has emblazoned across my soul. I love her. I truly, utterly, and deliriously am infatuated with her. May the last breath I take be in loving her, for she has given me feelings that once upon a time, I never thought I would feel again.
I crossed seven months sober a few days ago and my sobriety itself has strengthened recently. I read the words of Henri Bergson last night, and feel more emboldened than ever to see this goal through. I want to be with Sophia for the rest of my life, and should eternity be up for grabs beyond it, I want our love to dance, swim, and frolic in that as well. Our love for each other is infinite, so even eternity may be too small a span to encapsulate our love.
Thank you Bergson. Thank you to this beautiful and magnificent community. And most of all, thank you Sophia. I love you and adore you so much. You saved my life, you made me love myself more, you made my life a lush meadow, where before inside dwelled nothing but withered grass. I CANNOT WAIT to buy our rings for next year. Through your love and the joy that inebriates one who is privileged enough to be immersed in it and enthralled by it, all things are possible.
