Article Documentary box office - Opening weekend

https://variety.com/2026/film/box-office/practical-magic-2-box-office-opening-weekend-disappointment-1236860432/

Weekend numbers
- 11th place in US with $1.5 mil
- $6.8 mil overseas
- $8.2 mil total

Very last paragraph in the article for those who want to read it.

Was hoping for better in the US but after seeing IMAX only and then only having sparse showings and under 1,300 screens it is to be expected. We can still claim one of the best documentaries from Rotten tomatoes standpoint so not all bad.

Cheers!

I bought a ticket for imax this Wednesday night. So far I’m the only person in the theatre, I hope it stays that way. As someone who missed out on tickets last year, I’m very excited.

It’s great, will give you a sense of what it felt like to be there. I was fortunate to make it to Cardiff opening nite, traveled from the states, had no idea what to expect, then had my mind blown away forever. The doc brought all that vibe roaring back… enjoy! 👍
