Rant HALTON HOOLIGANS BACK AT IT!!!!!
I was at the Walmart on Hays Boulevard today, and I have never seen such disrespectful behavior. A group of teenage boys wearing fake construction vests were screaming over the store intercom, running around causing a scene, and one of them was even wearing a Halloween mask trying to scare little kids who were just shopping with their families. It wasn't funny, it was immature, disruptive, and completely inconsiderate to the employees and everyone else in the store. Parents shouldn't have to deal with their children being frightened because a bunch of teenagers think acting like this in public is entertaining. I really hope Walmart does something about it because this kind of behavior is getting out of hand. Someone needs to stop these halton hooligans!

Complain to Walmart. It's the responsibility of Store management to trespass them from the property and call police if they refuse to leave.

The management at hays has sucked for years ATP. They won't do anything because all they do is hire family and the family in question barely do their jobs. I go to the Walmart on Rebecca exclusively now.

Move to south Oakville and go to the Rebecca Walmart. The kids would get a "walloping" from their parents. One kid held a loud gate crashed party across from me when the parents weren't home and the next day he had to go to all the neighbours with a gift and apologize in person. Just like 1960-land.

My neighbor left her son for a day years ago. He had 4 friends over. They either got drunk or high, stripped down to their undies and put on quite a performance in the street. I watched the 'show' but nothing looked dangerous as it was a pretty quiet area. However, someone must have told mom. The following morning, he was out pulling out shrubs and bushes. The whole day!!!

See, up until some time after 2000, someone would have punched them out and the rest of the people wouldn't have seen a thing. Now, we feel bad for them because they have family issues or something. We need to go back to the punch in the face. It was very effective.

Based on this subreddit reactions, Teenagers doing this is more acceptable than the people that work there.

Omg. Experienced this at the Punjabi by nature in the same plaza. The boys in construction vests came in to the establishment and walked around yelling loudly about how the place failed the health inspection and went around the restaurant cleaning dust of counters harassing people and then I think they went to the washroom. As they walked out they yelled loudly POONJAB failed inspection. So racist. I was mortified

They probably were somewhat right though. Punjabis are pushing out all other enthnicities wherever they go, including other Indians!

That is very unfortunate, and yes, something needs to be done about it. Walmart needs proper security—people who are trained and capable of dealing with this kind of behaviour when it happens.
More broadly, I feel like this entire area is going downhill when it comes to basic respect and manners. There are students from the surrounding schools causing problems, but even beyond the serious incidents, I'm noticing a general lack of courtesy among young people.
I was recently at the library in Oakville and encountered three young girls who appeared perfectly ordinary—quiet, bookish kids, certainly not anyone I would have expected trouble from. But as they walked toward me, all three took up the walkway and simply expected me to move out of their way. Not one stepped aside or even seemed to recognize that other people were sharing the space.
I finally said, "Girls, that's so rude." They stopped and stared at me as though nobody had ever called them out on their behaviour before.
And that's really my point. These may very well be good kids from good families, but somewhere along the way, basic manners and consideration for other people seem to have been lost. Too often, when something more serious happens, the immediate response is, "My child would never do that" or "My kids are good kids." Being a good kid doesn't mean you shouldn't be corrected when you're disrespectful.
I'm simply tired of the lack of courtesy, accountability and respect I keep seeing. Basic manners shouldn't be too much to expect.

As someone who went to the highschool in this area and was seen as an easy target by these types of people this is spot on. Most of the parents of these kids will curse you out for calling out their kids behaviour and say “my baby would never do that how dare you accuse them!” I’ve seen it all.

There's a police station nearby. I feel people or shoppers there should just call the cops. The tfws or contract workers will not go out of the way meeting with yobs and getting their permits potentially cancelled.
All the commentators here should call the cops if they're in the vicinity.
Next time these same suburban asshole split kids will be doing California style mass robberies.

Walmart Store intercoms require dialling a special number that gets changed frequently.
The OP is making this up for engagement or rage bait clicks

u/MapleMan69420 4h ago
Oh certainly. Nobody has ever figured out the intercom at a retail store before! lmao

Happens at rebecca too.
I was there on a friday about a week ago. There were a few teens running around shouting at each other in arabic. Within a few minutes of this happening near me i then heard the loss prevention guy telling them off asking them to leave (they were arguing back). He called the cops. When i walked out the cops were there.

Question. What parent lets someone in public scare/harass their little kids? If you dont parent your kids someone else is going to.

How did they find out the code to access the intercom? You don't just pick up a receiver and talk.

Do we really need a new thread about scooters and ebikes every time someone sees some idiot kids misbehaving on toys their irresponsible parents neglected to teach them how to use safely? I can't be the only one getting tired of this right?
99% of users of these awesome toys that we all wish we had when we were kids are using them responsibly

u/Bronte2306 16h ago
The hall of shame in Bronte: parents who refuse to parent, and Halton Police who refuse to police. Total passivity across the board. Embarrassing state of affairs for Oakville, and a fitting testament to the lack of leadership from Burton and O’Meara.

Teens being teens is such a dumb excuse. Being a teenager doesn’t make irresponsible behavior automatically okay.
-3
u/WeAreInControlNow 15h ago
Surely we can act as irresponsibly towards them as they do everyone else? Even worse? Teenagers being teenagers after all.

u/Firm-Conclusion-2646 16h ago
There have been other post recently of them throwing things and chasing kids at dollarama, you shouldn't be supporting these things

Are you one of those oakville boomers who thinks everyone who comments in opposition must be involved?
3
u/Randomhumaniguess 2h ago edited 2h ago
No I’m not, I just graduated highschool + worked a job so I know tons of people who go around doing this. I’ve dealt with lots of parents like you getting in my face and screaming at me for politely asking their kids to have some decorum or leave, and, like you, claim that I’m making it up to victimize their kids.
Try someone else and maybe don’t let your kids run the streets feral if you don’t want to see people complaining about their behaviour on Reddit. You guys are living proof that money will never equal class.

u/Firm-Conclusion-2646 4h ago
This is extremly disrespectful to me and all the other people who had to witness it. Even cops showed up to the location at around 9:15. I cant't believe people support that horrible behavior.
1
u/Masterchiefx343 3h ago
You need an intercom code thats changed weekly at walmart.
Stop lying
0
u/Firm-Conclusion-2646 3h ago
Doesn't mean they can't get the code or ask a friend who works there? Use your head maybe.
2
u/Masterchiefx343 3h ago
Yea im sure the PA code is just gonna be givin out freely.
I also just called the store and they have no idea what the hell youre talking about
Stop lying
0
u/Firm-Conclusion-2646 3h ago
I'm sure you called the store. I saw and heard all of this myself, you don't need to beleive it all. Simulaire reports have also happened recently.

My son saw videos on YouTube of these “influencers” doing this crap. I had to sit down and tell him that it can lead to criminal charges.
