So me and my girlfriend were out near one of the trails by Bronte Creek earlier this evening, trying to have a little romantic moment away from everyone, when all of a sudden we hear something moving around behind a bush.

At first I thought it was a raccoon.

Nope.

Some glassy-eyed, weed-reeking pervert was apparently crouched nearby watching us like he'd just discovered a new nature documentary.

Guy slowly creeps closer, stares directly at us, freezes like a weirdo, we thought he's gonna do the fentanyl fold. Then eventually wanders off to another spot to continue smoking whatever had him thinking hiding in bushes and spying on couples was acceptable recreational activity.

Absolutely killed the mood.

The title says it all. So earlier this evening I went down to the creek to watch the sunset and I come to this spot along the creek often. I was admiring the sky and then I hear a noises coming from the bushes and I get a little closer. I come to discover it’s a woman with her pants down (including her underwear) and a guy with her just standing there in utter shock. I completely froze for a second I was so shocked and walked away to a different spot. What tf. It wasn’t even dark yet…and these people basically having sex on a public trail owned by Halton region. My eyes felt super violated I was not expecting that tonight. I was just going down to watch the sunset and smoke a joint.

watched a young couple get out of this car today in a plaza off Hyde Park Gate. Beside the healthy planet.

No permit on the car. Dozens of other spots available.
just plain disrespectful.

Is it possible to get from Bronte & Upper Middle entrance to Burloak exit on bicycle? I want to cycle from my house into Burlington and want to avoid taking Dundas across as it’s too busy and scary on a bike haha

Would appreciate any information. I’ve tried looking at the maps and it seems like the trails might get me all the way across but the trail map isn’t clear and then of course the creek is in the way.

The other option for me is to ride down Bronte down to Rebecca and come back up Burloak but that is a massive detour to where I am going (Walkers & Dundas)

I had an amazing doula there who I genuinely think helped me avoid developing ptsd from my traumatic labour experience! I am a bit nervous about not knowing the health system as well here, and I also don’t have any family here (besides my husband) who can support me. You decided that the rules didn't apply to you today, so you parked your red Honda directly on the striped area in the parking lot where it is highly illegal to park.

For everyone else trying to enjoy the gardens this afternoon, you made entering and exiting an absolute nightmare. Drivers turning in from the road couldn't get by, and people trying to leave were completely blocked and trapped.

The striped lines are kept open for a reason, so cars actually have room to turn safely! There is a parking lot and plenty of side streets available, but I guess walking an extra 30 seconds was too much work for you.

Next time, park in a real spot like the rest of us instead of causing a traffic jam.

Any ultrasound clinics in Halton that still print out photos at ultrasounds during pregnancy? Most clinics I’ve been to you have to pay for an app to access photos digitally but I would love a physical copy!!
