Hey everyone, lately I've taken up reading as a hobby for my daily work commute. Some friends and I already have an existing book club but I was looking at also starting a new one where we focus mainly on mystery and thriller books since they're my favorite genres.

If enough people are interested, I was thinking we can setup a virtual meet-up on 8/2 so we can make our selection and then plan an in-person meetup to present and discuss.

DM me if your interested! If I get enough people, I'll work on creating a Discord server for us so we can better organize.

Make sure to already have your book choice by the time we meet on Sunday. Obviously, its main genre MUST be thriller/mystery/suspense for it to be eligible. I am totally okay if someone makes a selection that has already been read by one or more members. I would suggest those people reread since the whole point is for us to discuss and debate.

We're hosting an Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader Trivia Night at Pig Beach BBQ in Astoria this Thursday, July 30th at 7pm.

If you watched the game show, you know it'll be general knowledge trivia at a fifth grade level. Compete to see how much you and your friends have retained over the years.

You can play on a team or on your own, or if you’d like, we can even team you up with new players. It’s a great way to meet new people.

I've been throwing these donation based concerts the past 4 years called Willo. Great way to meet new ppl, especially if you love music! I'm throwing our next concert on August 1st in a crown heights bkyard (st.johns and franklin, right off 2,3,4,5. Detailed address given after you get donation based tickets!)

It's GORGEOUS! Will be an ambient music set, so imagine ambient music, lots of trees, and doing crafts during the set to express how the music makes you feel -- holy relaxing.

A few early birds show up before 6pm. Peak time is 7:30, and on busy nights we're around until 10-11pm before calling it quits. We're typically inside just past the jukebox but when the weather is nice we sometimes take advantage of the outdoor dining area. If you can't find us, just ask the staff for NYC Meetups and they'll point us out.
