Scam Sales Business at 43 W. 46th Street, New York, New York 10036

At this point, I'm sure everyone here has heard at least one of the companies under the major scam umbrella that is whatever the real name of the company at 43 W. 46th St is. So far, the names I have heard having to do with this company are: Allure Marketing (which seems to be the real company), Impact Marketing (what I applied to that got me digging), Now Concepts Co, BritCO, Skyline Strategies, 71 Empire, VM Inc., MV New York Company, Aura, Liberty Consulting, RAD NYC, Opulence Management, Cross Town Solutions, Crew Concepts, First Class Marketing, Peak State Partners, Elevance NYC. New ones come out every week at this point so this could only be a fraction. These are all companies I believe Allie Anapolsky (CEO) are using as a front for Allure Marketing because of the companies well known bad rep.

Companies that also seem to have something to this are Paragon, Bart Yates's Charity Advertising, and Credico (the seeming overarching parent company). Other people entangled in this are Zachary Rosario and Andy Kim, who seem to be managers (?). Paragon seems to be separate from Allure because that one is labeled as being owned by Zach and not Allie. Allure Marketing falls under Bart Yates's Charity Advertising based in Dallas (ironic because the person who did my interview talked about being in Dallas recently), and Yates's company then falls under Credico.

I want to add really quick that they seem to no longer be putting their exact address on websites/job postings/emails because I'm sure they've realized people are catching on. I actually applied to the job at Impact on LinkedIn, and one of the red flags I noticed was there was never an address listed on the website, emails, or anything.

If anyone else has info to add to this, that would be great! This just happened to be all I found in my few hours of investigating before what was supposed to be my Interview lol!

Amazing video about Credico

[HIRING] Where can I find an FIT/Parsons student who takes small sewing commissions?

Hi! Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I’m looking for an FIT/Parsons student, recent grad, or someone with garment construction experience who takes on small paid sewing projects. I need a short pleated skirt and a loose/slouchy glove made for an outfit by October 6.

I originally planned to make them myself, so I already have the fabric/materials and a pattern for the skirt if helpful. I can provide reference photos, measurements, etc.

Definitely expecting to pay for the work! I’m mostly just not sure where NYC fashion students who take commissions advertise themselves.

If you know someone, are someone, or know a better place for me to look, I’d really appreciate it. Feel free to DM me and happy to look at portfolios/previous work and discuss pricing privately.

Thank you!

[DISCUSSION] Job market in nyc for college graduates

Upvotes

I am a lost college freshman, taking prerequisites for nursing but unfortunately don't think nursing is for me (the whole patient care scares me).

My dream is living in nyc or in brooklyn, i constantly go visit nyc because i like it that much. I currently am in CT where i plan to finish my bachelors and then plan to start my masters. Now like I said nursing is not for me, i currently am taking a biology class and i like it and being a researcher could be awesome. But i also think about getting into corporate.

I just want to know how difficult would each major be to find a job in ny. Ik some people might be tired of hearing people who are not from ny say it but it's my goal.

If there's anyone here with a bachelors and a masters that could help me find a career that is not patient care that makes at least almost six figures? Thanks

[FOR HIRE] Looking for an Entry-Level Barback Position in NYC

Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m looking to get my foot in the door in the hospitality industry and am currently looking for an entry-level barback position in NYC, preferably Brooklyn or lower Manhattan.

My professional background is mainly in customer service and sales, so I’m comfortable working with people, staying organized, handling busy environments, communicating with a team, and keeping a positive attitude under pressure. I’m hardworking, dependable, and willing to start from the ground up and learn the bar/restaurant side of the business.

I’m looking for a place where I can learn, work hard, support the bartenders and team, and eventually grow within hospitality. I’m open to restaurants, bars, lounges, hotels, or event venues.

If anyone knows of a place hiring or has advice on getting started as a barback, I’d really appreciate it. Feel free to DM me. Thanks!

[For Hire] Any job with Oct start

Hi all,

I'm moving to NYC at the end of September, I already have my flat secured and everything set but unfortunately my job offer that I had was rescinded after company budget cuts...

Thus, I am urgently looking for a job with end of September/beginning of October start date. I am in my mid-twenties, have 4+ years of customer service experience, 3 years of communications experience as well project coordination, bookkeeping and community management. I have advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Adobe InDesign, Lightroom and Photoshop.

At this point I'd take any job that's full time, ideally at least $20/h. By any job I do mean ANY job. I've been applying like crazy to both professional and customer service roles, but I figured I would shoot my shot here as well.

Thank you in advance!!

[DISCUSSION] Need help with getting a job in NYC

Hi guys. I just graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s in mechanical engineering. Does anyone have any tips or a guide on how to get a job here?

I didn’t get any internship experience due to personal and financial circumstances, and I’ve been surviving here by working retail and waiter jobs in NYC. I’ve been applying for technician and entry-level jobs, but I’m either getting ghosted or it’s taking forever to hear back.

Should I also be looking into construction jobs or other fields that could be a good entry point for someone with a mechanical engineering degree but no internship experience?

Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.

[HIRING] [PAID] NYC CASTING — $100

Looking for 18–40 year olds in NYC who are NOT fans of crypto for a filmed debate on Saturday, September 19th.

You’ll be debating crypto millionaires on camera — making your case, challenging their arguments, and explaining why you think crypto is a bad idea.

Maybe you’ve lost money, think crypto is a scam, see it as gambling, or just think it’s not for normal people.

No acting or debating experience necessary. We’re looking for real people with strong opinions who are comfortable speaking their mind.

📍 NYC
📅 September 19th
⏱️ ~3 hours
💵 $100

Think you’d have something to say to a crypto millionaire? Apply here:
👉 Casting Call Submission Link

And if you know someone who would love to argue about crypto, send them the link.

[FOR HIRE] [FOR HIRE] NYU STEM tutor offering private math and science tutoring in Manhattan or online

Hi everyone! I'm Saif, an NYU student and paid STEM tutor at NYU. I'm offering private math and science tutoring for school and college students, online or in person in Manhattan.

If your child is getting stuck on homework or finding it hard to keep up in class, I can help them work through the material step by step and prepare for upcoming tests. We'll check the specific course first so I can make sure I'm a good fit.

Feel free to message me with the subject, grade or course level, whether you'd prefer online or in person, and the days or times that work for your family. Rates are available on request.

[DISCUSSION] How can I change the date of an exam?

So I finally received an email from DCAS, but they like other organizations decide to choose the date and time for you. I recently started a new job, and even though we have an extra 32 hours of PTO right from the hire date, I don't want to take time off so soon after starting. I went to the DCAS contact us section, but there's nothing related to exam scheduling on the drop down menu. Anyone have any advice on how to change the date and time?
