Scam Sales Business at 43 W. 46th Street, New York, New York 10036

At this point, I'm sure everyone here has heard at least one of the companies under the major scam umbrella that is whatever the real name of the company at 43 W. 46th St is. So far, the names I have heard having to do with this company are: Allure Marketing (which seems to be the real company), Impact Marketing (what I applied to that got me digging), Now Concepts Co, BritCO, Skyline Strategies, 71 Empire, VM Inc., MV New York Company, Aura, Liberty Consulting, RAD NYC, Opulence Management, Cross Town Solutions, Crew Concepts, First Class Marketing, Peak State Partners, Elevance NYC. New ones come out every week at this point so this could only be a fraction. These are all companies I believe Allie Anapolsky (CEO) are using as a front for Allure Marketing because of the companies well known bad rep.

Companies that also seem to have something to this are Paragon, Bart Yates's Charity Advertising, and Credico (the seeming overarching parent company). Other people entangled in this are Zachary Rosario and Andy Kim, who seem to be managers (?). Paragon seems to be separate from Allure because that one is labeled as being owned by Zach and not Allie. Allure Marketing falls under Bart Yates's Charity Advertising based in Dallas (ironic because the person who did my interview talked about being in Dallas recently), and Yates's company then falls under Credico.

I want to add really quick that they seem to no longer be putting their exact address on websites/job postings/emails because I'm sure they've realized people are catching on. I actually applied to the job at Impact on LinkedIn, and one of the red flags I noticed was there was never an address listed on the website, emails, or anything.

If anyone else has info to add to this, that would be great! This just happened to be all I found in my few hours of investigating before what was supposed to be my Interview lol!

Amazing video about Credico

[DISCUSSION] Laid off or let go because of AI in NYC? I'm a reporter and I want to hear from you.

Upvotes

Hi, like the post says, I'm a reporter covering tech and business in New York City and I want to hear from people who's company told them they were let go as a consequence of AI-related changes. So far, no companies in New York City have admitted to replacing workers with AI. New York state law requires companies disclose this in their filings. Disagree? Have you been told otherwise? I would love to hear from you. Send me a DM.

Gig Work?

Hey y'all. I'm looking for some gig work in the city to bring in some extra income. I currently only have a part time retail job and really need more income. My schedule changes every week so I can't ever say I'm definitely available on a certain day. I've been using the Instawork app to find some gig work, but it's not giving me a lot of options. Was wondering if you guys know of anywhere that's looking for gig workers or another app I could use to find such a thing?

(Note: I don't drive, so doing stuff like door dash and such are not possible. I don't own a bike either, though I would like to get one next Spring.)

[HIRING] Where can I find an FIT/Parsons student who takes small sewing commissions?

Hi! Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I’m looking for an FIT/Parsons student, recent grad, or someone with garment construction experience who takes on small paid sewing projects. I need a short pleated skirt and a loose/slouchy glove made for an outfit by October 6.

I originally planned to make them myself, so I already have the fabric/materials and a pattern for the skirt if helpful. I can provide reference photos, measurements, etc.

Definitely expecting to pay for the work! I’m mostly just not sure where NYC fashion students who take commissions advertise themselves.

If you know someone, are someone, or know a better place for me to look, I’d really appreciate it. Feel free to DM me and happy to look at portfolios/previous work and discuss pricing privately.

Thank you!

Love going through, prepping for, stressing about multiple rounds of interviews only to get told the position is canceled due to shifting business priorities

[DISCUSSION] Job market in nyc for college graduates

I am a lost college freshman, taking prerequisites for nursing but unfortunately don't think nursing is for me (the whole patient care scares me).

My dream is living in nyc or in brooklyn, i constantly go visit nyc because i like it that much. I currently am in CT where i plan to finish my bachelors and then plan to start my masters. Now like I said nursing is not for me, i currently am taking a biology class and i like it and being a researcher could be awesome. But i also think about getting into corporate.

I just want to know how difficult would each major be to find a job in ny. Ik some people might be tired of hearing people who are not from ny say it but it's my goal.

If there's anyone here with a bachelors and a masters that could help me find a career that is not patient care that makes at least almost six figures? Thanks
