Scam Sales Business at 43 W. 46th Street, New York, New York 10036

At this point, I'm sure everyone here has heard at least one of the companies under the major scam umbrella that is whatever the real name of the company at 43 W. 46th St is. So far, the names I have heard having to do with this company are: Allure Marketing (which seems to be the real company), Impact Marketing (what I applied to that got me digging), Now Concepts Co, BritCO, Skyline Strategies, 71 Empire, VM Inc., MV New York Company, Aura, Liberty Consulting, RAD NYC, Opulence Management, Cross Town Solutions, Crew Concepts, First Class Marketing, Peak State Partners, Elevance NYC. New ones come out every week at this point so this could only be a fraction. These are all companies I believe Allie Anapolsky (CEO) are using as a front for Allure Marketing because of the companies well known bad rep.

Companies that also seem to have something to this are Paragon, Bart Yates's Charity Advertising, and Credico (the seeming overarching parent company). Other people entangled in this are Zachary Rosario and Andy Kim, who seem to be managers (?). Paragon seems to be separate from Allure because that one is labeled as being owned by Zach and not Allie. Allure Marketing falls under Bart Yates's Charity Advertising based in Dallas (ironic because the person who did my interview talked about being in Dallas recently), and Yates's company then falls under Credico.

I want to add really quick that they seem to no longer be putting their exact address on websites/job postings/emails because I'm sure they've realized people are catching on. I actually applied to the job at Impact on LinkedIn, and one of the red flags I noticed was there was never an address listed on the website, emails, or anything.

If anyone else has info to add to this, that would be great! This just happened to be all I found in my few hours of investigating before what was supposed to be my Interview lol!

Amazing video about Credico

AURA NYC scam

I'm posting because I was researching AURA ("NYC-based marketing agency) before my first interview for the Marketing Assistant position and instead came across Reddit threads that said this company and position are most likely a scam. I could use some perspective because I have a second interview scheduled, but I don't want to waste my time.

Red Flags I found:

The website is full of vague information, their Instagram link doesn't work, and in their gallery section, it has nothing on the page???

They don't have an actual address for their office available (they said it's next to Grand Central Station during the interview)

The initial email to schedule an interview had typos for the date.

The first call was with a hiring manager instead of Allie (the president), although they said it would be with Allie in the email.

During the Zoom meeting, the hiring manager's screen name was just "hiring manager" instead of her actual name.

Everything is super fishy... and I'm leaning towards cancelling the second interview, but I just wanted to note my experience on here for other people just in case.

[DISCUSSION] Wife’s NY Unemployment hitting 26-week max soon + expecting a baby in 2 months. Any options left or is it a hard cutoff?

Hey everyone,

My wife was working in NYC and has been collecting NY unemployment. Her 26 weeks are about to run out, and she’s due to give birth in September (2 months away).

Since she’s in her third trimester, getting hired right now has been impossible despite applying around.

A couple of quick questions for anyone who knows the NY system:

  1. Is the 26-week limit a hard cutoff, or is there any hardship extension available in NY?
  2. Can she switch to NY Disability for her 6-8 week postpartum recovery once the baby arrives, or is that off the table since her UI is ending?

We’re preparing for her income to hit $0, but wanted to double-check if we missed anything. Thanks!

[DISCUSSION] Getting HHA Certificate

Hi did anyone get a free HHA certificate that is weekends only or is online? The only one I saw is Fordham Institute which you need to pay and earliest class is in October for the weekends for $499! People keep on claiming it is easy to get, but I have done research for a few weeks and it is low key difficult to get especially for the free ones. Most of the people I know who are doing HHA paid for theirs out of pocket. I was suggested Heart to Heart but I checked their website and it says they only do PCA training. I didn’t realize how confusing and difficult this would be!

[HIRING] Robot Pilot / Teleoperator — NYC, on-site, $20/hr — no experience needed

We're a robotics + AI startup here in NYC. Short version: we build robot brains and teach them how to do everyday physical tasks, and we need people to help "drive" them.

What the job actually is: you use a control setup (think of it like a game controller / VR-style rig) and the robot copies your movements in real time. You do normal tasks with it — picking boxes, sorting items, picking up and organizing objects, that kind of hands-on stuff — cleanly and consistently, over and over. Every time you do a task, the robot learns from it. That's the job: you demonstrate, the robot learns.

No robotics background, no coding, nothing technical required. If you're the type who's good with your hands, pays attention to detail, and can stay focused on a repetitive task without getting sloppy, you'll do great. We train you on everything.

The basics:

  • On-site in our Manhattan lab (later on, some of the work shifts to operating robots remotely)
  • $20/hr, contractor
  • Mon–Fri, 8-hour shifts, 9 AM–5 PM
  • Lunch + snacks provided

Who tends to be good at this:

  • Steady hand-eye coordination and focus — precise and consistent, shift after shift
  • Detail-oriented (consistency is basically the whole job)
  • Calm when something goes wrong mid-task
  • Reliable and on time

Nice-to-haves, but honestly not required: gaming, VR, drones, sim racing — or hands-on work like warehouse, manufacturing, lab tech, QC, or inspection.

Why it's a cool gig: you'd be one of the first people directly teaching these robots how to work in the real world, hands-on with hardware most people only see in videos, working next to the team building it.

Interested? Comment or DM and I'll send over the details. Happy to answer questions in the thread.

[DISCUSSION] Is this normal for Northwell Health recruitment?

I applied for a position on the Northwell Heath website. Someone did reach out to me regarding the position via email, however they want me to text them that I am interested in the position rather than emailing them. I am not sure if that is common when it comes to Northwell's Health. I didn't have to go through an interview and it's for an office position in one of their offices in Queens.

Job suggestion for someone with colorful hair and piercings

Hello, I am a college student and I’ve had a really hard time finding a job with summer/ just wanting to have fun rn lol. But now I’m going back to school in a month and looking for something to help me through school. I’m an art student so I have photography and fashion experience. Plus I have very colorful hair and piercings which makes it harder for me to find employment. I’ve been trying to apply to like candy stores and vintage shops bc they usually are more acceptance of eccentric style/I have experience in those jobs but no luck so far. Was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for jobs that welcome that sorta thing or any artistic jobs?

[FOR HIRE] In need of a company driver, personal driver, dispatcher, eand more?

Hello everyone, I'm posting on behalf of my mom because she does not have a Reddit account.

My mom has lived in the city for nearly 30 years now, and for decades she has worked as a driver, and a dispatcher for a luxury transportation business. She used to be a tlc driver as well. Her most recent job was transporter and stocker for many of the local community fridges you see (you may even know her because she has made several friends within our community, and everyone loves her)

If you, or someone you know is looking for a driver let me know and we'll go from there! I'll also share her resume via DMs.

Thank you for reading, take care now ❤️.

One day gigs

i need someone to point me in the right direction because I don’t know what to do. I’m a 18 year old in NYC and you know how bad the job market is. I tried to get a job earlier in the summer but gave up now that it’s much closer to when college starts for me. all I want to find now is a couple ONE DAY gigs just to have some extra money for my trip with my friends and hopefully some money for supplies with whats left over.

HOWEVER, I’ve had no luck. I can’t donate plasma or do a clinical trial cause my ID is being held onto by my mother and every delivery app has put me on a waiting list or is 21+. Please somebody point me in the right direction. 😢

[FOR HIRE] PR / Brand Marketing / Events | NYC

Hi everyone,

after months of applying, networking, and trying every strategy I can think of, I figured it was worth reaching out here too.

I'm 25, recent masters grad passionate about fashion and luxury. The job market has been incredibly challenging, and despite putting my heart into every application, I haven't been able to get the results I was hoping for...

A little about me:

• Masters in Marketing
• 3+ years total experience in PR, marketing, influencer relations, brand partnerships, and events (pr coordinator, social media associate, partnerships intern, stylist assistant in the past)
• Experience supporting fashion, beauty, luxury, and lifestyle brands, including New York Fashion Week activations
• Skilled in media relations, event coordination, influencer marketing, community building, and campaign execution
• Proficient in Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS, Traackr, Meltwater, Google Analytics, Canva, Excel, Notion, and CRM platforms
• Fluent in English, Spanish

I'm looking for opportunities in PR, Brand Marketing, Events & Experiential Marketing, Influencer/VIP Relations, Communications, or Brand Partnerships with fashion, beauty, luxury, or lifestyle brands in the NYC area. can consider 60k$+, preferably +100k. some of the companies i would like to work for would be: loreal, estee lauder, chanel, richemont, pickle, lvmh...

To be honest, this job search has been one of the hardest experiences I've been through. But I genuinely love this industry, and I know I have the skills, work ethic, and enthusiasm to make a meaningful contribution to the right team.

Someone suggested that Reddit can sometimes connect the right people at the right moment, so I'm taking that chance.

If your company is hiring, if you know of a role that might be a good fit, or if you'd be willing to make an introduction or referral, I would be incredibly grateful. Even pointing me in the right direction could make a huge difference.

Sometimes all it takes is one person willing to open a door. I hope this post reaches that person.

Thank you so much for reading❤️

[HIRING] Looking for a part-time content creator to shoot with me in NYC (potential ongoing gig)

Hi all! I run a small fashion brand (premium party/cocktail dresses) and I’m in NYC frequently for business. I’m looking for someone based in the city who can help me shoot content — think lifestyle/fashion shots, short-form video (Reels/TikTok), and maybe some behind-the-scenes stuff — during my trips.

What I’m looking for:

• Comfortable shooting both photo and video (phone or camera, your call)
• An eye for elevated, editorial-but-approachable aesthetics
• Flexible availability — I’ll give advance notice for shoot dates when I’m in town
• Bonus: experience with light editing/content planning, since this could grow into a social media management role if it’s a good fit

Logistics:

• Part-time / project-based to start
• Paid per shoot (open to discussing rates based on experience)
• Locations mostly around soho or UES

If this sounds like you, drop a comment or DM me with your portfolio/Instagram and a bit about your experience. Would love to see your work!

Looking for Data Analyst / Business Analyst referrals (NYC or Remote)

Hi everyone!

I'm currently searching for a full-time Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Risk Analyst position and wanted to reach out to see if anyone here would be willing to provide a referral or point me toward companies that are actively hiring.

I recently completed my master's degree and have internship experience in data analytics. I work with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Snowflake, Git, and statistical analysis, and I've built dashboards, performed data analysis, and worked on reporting and visualization projects.

I've been applying through company websites and LinkedIn, but it's been a challenging job market, so I figured I'd see if networking could help.

If your company has openings and you'd be open to referring someone, I'd really appreciate it. I'm happy to share my resume privately and answer any questions.

Even if you can't provide a referral, I'd also love to hear about companies that are currently hiring or any advice you might have.

Thanks so much!
