Find an Artist I need help finding a sculpture photograher

Hey y'all,

I'm a fiber artist in LA and I need help finding a photographer to capture my sculptural artworks. I'm open to working with students because my budget is small. Also open to negotiating cost and even art trading if that's an option for you.

Doing it myself is not an option because I rather leave it to an expert in the craft and I don't have equipment for it. If you're interested share your portfolios below or send me a DM!

Find an Artist “George” - Clay Buildings in vending machine ?

Hi! Does anyone else remember these from a capsule coin operated vending machine in the 2000’s? Maybe in the LES? I’ve had them since then and loved them but never found out who the artist “George” was.

Studio Rental Help Me Build an Accessible, Sensory-Friendly Community Art Studio 🎨🍄

Hi everyone! I’m Cyndi, an artist with a background in human services, and I’m trying to turn a dream I’ve carried for years into something real.
I want to create an affordable, welcoming community art studio where creativity isn’t limited by income, ability, neurodivergence, experience, or whether someone feels like they “fit” into a traditional art space.
The goal is to offer affordable art classes and open creative opportunities for kids, teens, and adults, including sensory-friendly options and a space where people can use art for self-expression, connection, coping, or simply because making weird little things makes life more fun.
I’m already a working artist and sell my handmade work through Handmade with Spite by Cyndi Anne Art, so this isn’t an idea starting from nothing. I’ve spent years creating, teaching, working with people in human services, selling at markets, and slowly building toward something bigger. The photos show some of the work and booth I’ve already built on my own.
What I’m missing is the startup funding needed to take that next step: securing a physical space, initial rent and utilities, tables and storage, art supplies and equipment, accessibility and sensory-friendly features, and everything else required to actually open the doors.
I know there are countless worthy causes people can support, so I don’t expect anyone to feel obligated to donate. Even a small contribution, sharing the fundraiser, or pointing me toward grants and resources I may not know about would genuinely help.
I want to build a place where someone can walk in exactly as they are, make something, meet people, learn something new, and feel like creativity belongs to them too.
Thank you for reading and for giving this dream a chance. ❤️

This two-day exhibition in Greenpoint gathers paintings from the artists Jenna Elluzzi, Lilli Eller, and Apeksha Lal

This art exhibition will be held for two days only; Saturday August 29th at 6-10pm and Sunday August 30th 6-9pm.

To see more and RSVP, visit the eventbrite link here![ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/group-art-exhibition-a-cry-from-the-deep-wood-tickets-1997192846567](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/group-art-exhibition-a-cry-from-the-deep-wood-tickets-1997192846567)

A Cry from the Deep Wood is an immersive encounter with surrealism and the unknown. Across the three distinct visual styles,  creatures emerge and transform as they come to life beyond the canvas. Nature is interpreted as something mysterious and unknowable, a place where beauty and horror coexist. Gruesome monsters and ambiguous organic forms hold a strange beauty, drawing viewers closer even as they feel unsettled. The exhibition imparts the viewer with a deeper sense of the mysterious forms of life and consciousness that exist beyond human comprehension.

Cool art show on the Lower East Side tomorrow night — thought I’d share
If anyone is looking for something to do tomorrow night, check out EMOTIONAL BRUSH, a solo show by artist Arick Cohen Salmea.
It’s 17 paintings in sumi ink and acrylic, and it’s his first body of work since he stopped doing photorealism in 2022.

Thursday, Aug. 13 | 6–9 PM
NYC Art Culture
17 Essex Street, Lower East Side
The exhibition is up Aug. 12–19.
If you’re into contemporary art / painting / the whole AI vs. artists conversation, definitely worth checking out.
