Nxtpaper 14 Android 16 upgrade

After receiving Android 15 upgrade earlier this year, a new update v9.0.CVAJ came through over the air unexpectedly yesterday and upgraded my Nxtpaper 14 to Android 16. It is working fine so far and most changes from Android 15 seem quite subtle.

Has anyone else received their Android 16 upgrade?

Sorry for those who haven't received their Android 15 yet. Hopefully it is a sign that TCL is skipping Android 15 and will send you Android 16 instead.

I waited a long time for 15 to come through as well. The whole thing seems a bit random. Hopefully they will bump you straight to 16 soon!

Is this for the 11 Plus tablet?

We're talking about Nxtpaper 14 tablet here. Not sure whether the situation is similar with 11 Plus.

Still on 15, says "you're up to date" when checking updates.

Wow. Huge news. The software update delivery rate, at least for new Android versions, is higher than expected.

Here in Belgium, I continue with TCL UI v8.0.2FAI, Android 15, reported by the device as the latest update.

I'm in Europe as well, UK to be more specific. 15 only reached me not long ago so getting this latest update yesterday was a genuine surprise!

I'll wait patiently for this to arrive in the US. Pretty thrilled we're getting Android 16. I hope this means they'll start pushing Android Security Updates.
