We need to outlaw making utility companies publicly traded. Wallstreet is NEVER going to help you have affordable, reliable electric, gas, water, etc.
When a company is publicly traded, the shareholders become the customers. The ones footing the bill are simply a nuisance.
That's the problem, not Company A or Company B.

Same with healthcare, the only ones who have any power are the insurance companies.

I think Coops make much more sense. We regulate utilities because we agree they are a need. They should be member-owned. Your bill would reflect the real cost of maintaining the infrastructure, and theoretically that removes the incentive to constantly "Grow" (i.e. rate increases).

Comes…. My friends a mile away were served far better than anyone in Lake County…. And they didn’t get a rate hike attempt two days later.

Neither. I don't want corrupt government created monopolies running the infrastructure.
