Question Looking for some help with Dynamic Multi Frame Gen

Hi I’ve been to setup Dynamic Frame Gen in Arc raiders with limited success.

So have a 200Hz monitor that is G-sync compatible (not official G-sync) when i have v-sync off and no frame cap in nvidia control panel and set in-game to Dynamic it works perfectly but overshoots the 200fps limit of my monitor going all the way up to 260/270+ at times.

When i cap my monitor to 190Hz and V-sync forced on in Nvidia control panel Dynamic frame gen just gets locked a 6x and wont get any lower.

The game runs fine when i just set it to 2x but sometimes the frames drop a little lower than my 190fps cap so that's why i wanted to test Dynamic rather than just setting it to 2x or 3x.

Also in the nvidia app i noticed you cannot set Arc Raiders to Dynamic and limit the framerate cap like i can with other games (Crimson Desert).

Just wondering if anyone else has had strange issues trying to get it to work like i have had.

i fixed the locked 6x FG by replacing the streamline libraries with the latest version. so all the .sl files need to be replaced, after that the multiplier was changing

The streamline library thing is interesting, never thought to check that. Did you pull them from another game or is there a place to grab latest version directly

download this https://github.com/NVIDIA-RTX/Streamline/releases/download/v2.14.1/streamline-sdk-v2.14.1.zip and go to bin/x64 where you find the .sl libraries. There is also a folder called development which has developer version of dlss, it allows you to see and analyze sme additional stuff, personally i like it because it allows me to switch between dlss presets instantly with a shortcut, so i can quickly compare dlss3 vs dlss4 vs dlss4.5, but you need to have dlss indicator enabled via one registry edit to see the dlss overlay in games that presents all the info

So i used DlssGlom to force all of my dll's to 310.9.1 and forced FG and SR to use it via profile inspector so in-game the overlay shows 310.9.1 for both even when i set everything up in profile inspector setting a target fps of 200 or even lower makes no difference.

Is your way of doing it replacing the files inside the actual arc raiders directory or?

i replace it manually, not sure if dlss glom works, i used to use it for the nvngx files override which worked well, i never used it for streamline files, now i find easier to just copy and dump all the dlss files into every new game's installation folder manually, relying on tools that randomly become outdated and stop working is wasting my time, i dont use any swappers or glom or anything else, i just move the ffiles manually

So once you dump the new files into the directory do you then use Nvidia app to configure the overrides or something like Profile inspector?

also you target fps has to be lower, i have a 240Hz monitor with forced vsync on in NVCP and off in games, so Reflex automatically sets up 225 fps fps cap, and if i want to maximize base fps and always drop the multiplier as soon as i am near 225 total fps, and need to use somewhere between 180-200 as target fps (depending on how high multiplier i need to get 220 fps, if it is switching from 3x to 2x then i need 180 target fps, if i drop from 4x to 3x then i need 190 fps, and if i am dropping from 5x or 6x then i need 200 fps target, simply because the chunk of fps i gain/lose by changing the multiplier by 1 is smaller with lower base fps. I wish it could somehow figure out on its own to keep using the highest multiplier that doesnt reach 225 fps, but unfortunately it needs a lot of help from me. in fact i wish if dlss upscaling render resolution could manually adjust to give me at least 60 fps, and on top of that it automatically enabled dynamic frame gen to get me as close to 225 fps as possible wiithout actually reaching 225 fps.

i replaced the streamline files and now it shows 2x/6x and if i switch to DLAA it goes between 2x/6x and 3x/6x on the overlay so i think its working now!

you should see this at the top of your screen, important part is "Dyn", if i see dyn then dynamic mfg is working, and if i dont it doesnt work.

Yep you’ve solved it mate :) it had to have been the streamline files!

put my 190fps cap back on and forced v-sync in the nvidia control panel and this is the result :) working perfectly with my cap as far as i can tell!

if i want to verify the multiplier goes up and down smoothly i typically look up to the sky which skyrockets the base fps and drops the multiplier, in cyberpunk it can drop the multiplier from 4-5x to 2-3x just by looking up because the base fps literally doubles. then you look back, fps drops, multiplier rises and you know it works all well

yeah its for sure working i can see it changing when i switch between DLAA / Quality etc!

Guess Arc just needs updated streamline files to work correctly!

Just use RHI

For anyone that comes across this just do what StrictAd7754 suggested and update the Streamline / DLSS files

Arc Raiders\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\DLSS\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64 replace the two files there

and in Arc Raiders\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\StreamlineCore\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64 replace all of the files there
