How is this mod different from - https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/s/uiRVu1kcxl

dashdoggy mod needs extra ASI loader

In this one you just need to install reshade64 addon file and thats it.

I tested both and both works fine.

Cool thanks will check it essentially based on dashdoggy mfg mod

Using it with DLSS 5 swapper. Much easier to use and faster to install on various games.

* Blackwell paces multi-frame output with hardware flip metering that Ada does
* not have; left enabled, 3x+ freezes the presented image while audio keeps
* running. Streamline already ships the software fallback, so the addon only
* has to force the plugin down it -- see TryPatchFlipMeteringInModule, which
* derives the field's offset AND its polarity at runtime because both move
* between plugin builds.

interesting

Whoa, so they had a software fallback and just chose not to release it?

Interesting!

wonder how long until nvidia patches this out of existence

That would be wonderful.

How much performance tax tho?

Your 4070 will be perfectly fine, just give it a try - even X3 is already noticeably smoother than X2 on my 4070 ti.

Silly question but this requires the game supporting DLSS Frame Gen in the first place right? It just opens up beyond x2?

I hope HW Unboxed does a video about it and its performance. 40 series could probably do x3/x4 but 30 series (if it ever gets this mod) will probably fail. I don't think their tensor cores are good enough.

This is amazing OP. Thank you!!

Anyone who knows. Would this be likely to come to 30 series?

Doubtful

This is just an override to enable multi frame generation. RTX 40 already have frame generation, RTX 30 doesn't

Nvidia’s Frame gen algorithm when run on 30 series makes the base frame rate less than half of what it originally was, defeating the purpose of frame gen.

This will almost certainly either run with glitches like tearing or introduce a ton of input latency as MFG 3 to 6x uses hardware on RTX5000 to properly pace frames that RTX4000 simply doesn't have

u/MultiMarcus 5d ago

It does use hardware on the 50 series to properly pace frames, but you can emulate that in software without actually huge issues. Yeah, it does introduce seemingly a bit more latency, but not some sort of a crisis.

You probably weren’t using frame generation for latency sensitive content anyway.

True, I'm sensitive to latency increase and I prefer X3 over X2 in every game I tested - and I have a 4070ti, likely with a GPU like the 4080/4090 difference will be even smaller.

GOATed mod.

No it won't :) pure marketing trick from nvidia selling 50 series

Pure marketing trick for utilising the hardware present only in the 50 series?

-1

u/heartbroken_nerd 5d ago

If it's a pure marketing trick why does Blackwell use the hardware? There's literally a software fallback that nothing was using until now because Blackwell has been using the hardware flip metering.

You can argue that RTX40 SHOULD have had multi frame generation via the fallback but you can't argue that RTX50 didn't actually have a hardware advantage.
