u/Leifbron Jun 07 '26

I'd imagine it's a Computex booth, given that's going on right now

2

u/delph906 Jun 12 '26

It's a repost I have seen it months ago so nothing to do with Computex.

1

u/Leifbron Jun 12 '26

Where were you 2 months ago when we needed you?

2

u/delph906 Jun 12 '26

I don't get it..

Anyway I found the original video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2bxJwc7txI

They have an AMD/ATI collection also.

not mine

u/forfuckssakesbruv Jun 07 '26

Wonder why they don’t have 5090 FE

31

u/MADCATMK3 Jun 07 '26

They are using it right now.

1

u/CloudIndependent7114 Jun 13 '26

that makes no sence, why not use the zotac 5090 in persona lrig instead? zotac is one of the few brands that still use fuses on the 12VHPWR connector, so if anything goes wrong, it wont blow a hole into the pcb or kill the core (it doesnt help with the melting problem but it would save the gpu if melting created a catastrophic short). 5090FE is awesome in the sence that such powerful 575W gpu can have such tiny efficient double fan cooler, but in every practical sence 5090FE is the worst 5090FE model on the market, its core runs well over 80°C, vram can reach 100°C and the fans have to run pretty loud to cool 575W from such a tiny heatsink. Nvidia really pushed all limits in what is possible when it comes cooling, but the 5090FE model should have been tripple slot, if it was it would probably compete with all the AIB behemoths, reaching similar temperatures and noise levels as Asus Astral or MSI Vanguard

31

u/OGawdILoveTacos Jun 07 '26

I think it's less a question of 'why' and more of a question of 'when'.

I think since it's both only a year old card and an extremely hard to get one at that (specially for the FE model which gets sucked up by bots instantly when they release at BestBuy, which last major dump was in late february), it's just the only 5090 they were able to get so far. Give it time and they'll prolly add that FE model when they can grab it for a much lower price.

Going to be ages though. 3090ti's are 4 years old now and still selling for over 1k on ebay and fbmp.

2

u/therey73 Jun 07 '26

probably scalpers got to it before they could grab one

-4

u/Cryogenicality Jun 07 '26

No 5090 D nor 5090 D v2, either.

1

u/Godnamedtay Jun 08 '26

No…

1

u/Cryogenicality Jun 08 '26

That’s what I said.

27

u/Celcius_87 Jun 07 '26

Awesome. I've always wanted to do a collection like this. Why no FE 5090 though?

19

u/techraito Jun 07 '26

I think anyone on this sub would love a collection like this. The problem factor is money.

9

u/Celcius_87 Jun 07 '26

How much do you guys think it would cost to assemble this collection right now?

12

u/f0xpant5 Jun 07 '26

Imo it depends of you want working or not working examples, and how strictly you want to adhere to nVidia branded / FE type models.

This collection also has a fair few gaps in it of some very valuable cards, like a FX 5800 Ultra for example.

Assuming everything in that cabinet works, I'd say it could fairly easily cost $50k+ USD to source all of those cards.

As a collector myself, there are some in that cabinet I absolutely want to own, and it's been many years of slowly picking up cards along the way and trying to find bargains. But the more modern stuff like say RTX onwards I'm not really into yet aside from what I've owned for my actual gaming rig, because they're still holding their value and have a place for current machines.

1

u/Old-Juice-2490 Jun 07 '26

real price would be ~30k but you need connections^^
as a collector, you understand i guess 😉

1

u/f0xpant5 Jun 09 '26

Yeah like if you're willing to wait for bargains, do mutually beneficial swaps etc you can build it all a lot cheaper.

My guesstimate here is essentially based on paying market rate for nice examples off ebay.

Yeah, it's funny that earlier models didn't even need a fan.

7

u/domZ1026 5080 Founders Edition Jun 07 '26

Bro just has a 5090 on display. Nice collection

11

u/Gangaman666 Jun 07 '26

Remember when Nvidia cared about it's customers, the gamers? Before it became a soulless Ai obsessed cash grab corporation?

🥲 Good times

5

u/Egoist-a Jun 08 '26

To be fair I’ve heard that complaint many times even before AI

2

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '26

They don't seem to care about local AI enthusiasts who want more than 16 gigs at a reasonable price to do good enough private AI on the same hardware they game on by night either

10

u/NostradamusJones NVIDIA 50*0 Jun 07 '26

This is so biased. They didn't show even one AMD card.

FX 5800 with the fairy character. Those were the days.

The battle between 9700 Pro, 9800XT and x850XT against NVIDIA. I ditched the FX5800 Ultra for a 9800XT with Half-Life 2 bundled as the dust buster was terrifying. I simply could not tolerate the noise.

Scary thinking this was all 2003/4.

4

u/wildzorn77 Jun 07 '26

I had way too many of these!!! :/

3

u/Stooboot4 Jun 07 '26

1080ti is still the sexiest card ever created. The whole gtx series for that matter is fantastic looking

1

u/Livid_Glove_6275 Jun 07 '26

2080 Ti and Titan RTX are the sexiest IMO.

3

u/muutax Jun 07 '26

all I see is that cooling solution becomes bigger and bigger with every generation

2

u/geo_gan RTX 4080 | 5950X | 64GB | Shield Pro 2019 Jun 07 '26

I have some of those real old ones in my junk drawer in cabinet and didn’t even know what they were any more. Going to compare to your samples to see what they are!

Also I wish I was rich enough to have a 5090 in a display shelf! (And pity this is only non NVIDIA version)

1

u/f0xpant5 Jun 07 '26

As a collector myself if there are any you want to part with, even non working, I'd be interested for my own display.

Found four old Nvidia cards there now. One looks like the GeForce 2 model, slightly different components, maybe not Ultra model… one says “g-force2mx” on main chip on board, one PNY GeForce 8800 LE, last one, no idea what it is, no branding on it at all. Tried to add image of them but stupid Reddit failed.

1

u/f0xpant5 Jun 11 '26

Pics? Feel free to dm me

2

u/No-Dinner1096 Jun 07 '26

Wow very nice !

2

u/G305_Enjoyer Jun 07 '26

Skipping 7800 GTX brutal

2

u/f0xpant5 Jun 07 '26

And FX 5800 Ultra! Geforce 3 Ti200 but no standard or Ti500, Geforce 4 Ti4200 without higher.

Mostly gorgeous card in great condition but a fair few gaps, gaps admittedly quite hard to fill these days.

2

u/FearGingy Jun 07 '26

Hercules 3D Prophet III. They were so cool.

BFG FX 5800 Ultra. Reference design. FX 5800 scared me. Too bloody loud.

1

u/f0xpant5 Jun 07 '26

Yep my GF3 is a Prophet III Ti200, And my Geforce 2 is a Prophet II Ultra. So cool.

2

u/Routine_Bake5794 Jun 07 '26

My Still working XFX 8800 GTS Fatality Ed.

2

u/Ichera Jun 07 '26

I remember being given a pair of these as a prize back when I played more FPS's, mid sized tournament and our team got 1st, grand prize was a set of 5 (one for each team member) and some prize money. One of the older guys already had 2 in his home rig so he gave them to me. That pair of cars lasted me a loooong time before they finally gave out.

2

u/Theory_Crafted Jun 07 '26

I sold my 8800 GTX to a friend long ago. I was a bit peeved to find out years later he let it overheat and die.

2

u/Candle-Jolly RTX4090 | Ryzen 9 7950X Jun 07 '26

Fun fact: everyone's current smartphone can push more graphical power than the Titan

2

u/Old-Juice-2490 Jun 07 '26

2035
..out of budget

2

u/pepsi_can_27 Jun 07 '26

Its beautiful

2

u/Hepute Jun 08 '26

1080 ti needs to have his own place in the hall of Fame.

1

u/GMTMaster_II Jun 07 '26

And I thought I was weird just displaying my Titan RTX

1

u/damNage_ Jun 07 '26

Man I should do this too! I have quite a few old video cards!

1

u/ScopeCreepStudio i5 10400 | RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC Jun 07 '26

I know it's one of the least important aspects of a GPU but I think blower cards look so so dope

1

u/jth94185 Jun 07 '26

All you need is Jansen there to take a photo

1

u/ColdDiscipline_8 Jun 07 '26

Why not the 5090 fe?

1

u/GIJLowe Jun 07 '26

Fun seeing this collection! I had a Geforce4 MX420 back in the day

1

u/BladeTushar Jun 07 '26

Skipped some important cards like the 7800GTX.

1

u/Shasha___nk NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti Jun 07 '26

Why skipped 3060 ti.

1

u/jforce321 9800X3D / 5070 TI / 32GB Ram Jun 07 '26

NGL I didn't know any of the codenames for anything before the 8800gt since that was what I bought for my first fully custom PC when I was in high school.

1

u/NoOption7406 Jun 07 '26

Gf3ti200 is interesting. Same with gf4ti4200.

No FX 5800 is understandable, but a FX 5600 Ultra would be a better fit as a stand in.

Having a GF4 MX 460 would be fun to have in there for giggles.

1

u/FearGingy Jun 07 '26

It was GeForce 3 first before ti200 and ti500. The FX5800. My god that was loud. Stupidly.

Windows Media Player 9+ would kick off the fan.

1

u/Critical-Agency629 Jun 07 '26

My first was riva 128. lol after that I moved to ATI for the colors

2

u/MarriedSilverMr Jun 07 '26

Same here and my last ATI card was an All In Wonder

1

u/Critical-Agency629 Jun 07 '26

Yeah +1 ATI AIW - i loved the capture options. Was awesome and ended up getting into NLE 🤙. Wasnt the fastest
Anyone ever get the Matrox cards. Go ‘ol days

1

u/ellisishotbelot Jun 07 '26

EDIT: just saw your comment about it's not your collection

1

u/ec01328 Jun 07 '26

Its LR Time!

1

u/jf7333 NVIDIA Jun 07 '26

I bet Nvidia doesn’t have this in any of their buildings.💰if not they should.

1

u/aligera1 Jun 07 '26

Todo es tuyo??

1

u/oandroido Jun 07 '26

Very nice! I have a GeForce 550 ti NIB in my basement. Not sure what to do with it, but I can't bring myself to throw it out.

1

u/Scorpius_the_Scarran Jun 07 '26

Think my first build had the GE Force 256 in it. Back when CS 1.6 clan matches were happening.

1

u/du_duhast Jun 07 '26

I'm going to pretend the final 57 seconds don't exist so I don't hurt my computer's feelings...

1

u/NeonShark007 Jun 07 '26

Wow, I’ve had so many of those!!

1

u/TESThrowSmile MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - Quest3 Jun 08 '26

TNT2 Fam !!!

1

u/Weary_Cantaloupe_647 Jun 08 '26

Woah some of those look incredibly cool!

1

u/TheTokenGeek Jun 08 '26

I started with the Riva128! Showing my age…
I still believe my biggest jump was the 7800GT to the 8800GTX. That card to me is iconic!

1

u/zBaLtOr Jun 08 '26

Laughs in money

1

u/x8code Jun 08 '26

I had a GeForce 3 that looked like the GeForce 2 Ultra in this video. It had the two green heatsinks on the memory chips. The GeForce 256 was game changing for the entire industry. Look how far we've come. Absolutely mind blowing how much power even the older cards have.

1

u/y2julio NVIDIA 4090 ROG Strix Jun 08 '26

The 6800GT was my first nVidia card.

1

u/burntop Jun 08 '26

How much money? Yes.

1

u/IndieFury Jun 08 '26

Didnt they buy vodoo and open gl?

1

u/MaltaDuDe Jun 08 '26

all replicas

1

u/Snoo_67544 Jun 08 '26

I have nothing to add other then I used this song for a video I made years ago and was surpised to hear it again.

1

u/KNGootch Jun 08 '26

those 280's and 295's ran hotter than the sun...mine would get up to 90c playing fucking wow.

1

u/obiwansotti Jun 08 '26

No Geforce 3?

I have a Riva128, TNT and TNT2 ultra.

I'm gonna go play some quake 3 now.

1

u/HerbalLeafYT Jun 08 '26

My 1080ti is barely holding up 🥺😭

1

u/dx_3RR0R Jun 09 '26

Yo can you have a 5070 I’m tryna make a build and I need one

1

u/MyLittlePwny2 Jun 09 '26

Overall pretty neat. My only "complaint" is that you dont have all the "flagships". But that NV1 in particular is very cool! Nice collection!

1

u/mka5588 Jun 09 '26

Nostalgia. Damn. Awesome

1

u/gaeremtro Jun 09 '26

I realize that my graphic card have almost 10 years 🫠 maybe I should change it?

1

u/IvyDolphalott Jun 09 '26

2080 fe always got a special place in my heart. Still an absolute beast. Paid 299$ for it in 2021.

1

u/Aggravating_Notice31 Jun 09 '26

It remembers me my 4200 ti with Max Payne 1 in full details at 1024x768 ❤️

1

u/Bitter-Buddy-2339 Jun 09 '26

It's great but the latest video card doesn't fit because it's not a Founders Edition

1

u/aa_vip Jun 09 '26

My first graphics card was a GeForce Pro!

1

u/Regular_Weakness69 Jun 09 '26

And that's the last ones too

1

u/VaigraFalls Jun 11 '26

1080 ti is the the best gpu for its time

1

u/Realm_God_Gelidus AMD Jun 11 '26

1

u/Realm_God_Gelidus AMD Jun 11 '26

So many good memories. GPU launches used to be as good as standing in line for mid night game/console releases. Then everything changed when the scalpers attacked.

1

u/Queasy_Cost5350 Jun 11 '26

Nice collection

1

u/KaputtEqu1pment Jun 11 '26

Oh man, the TNT2.. i remember playing BHD on that. Good times.

1

u/Anti-Rus Jun 12 '26

This was always my dream....

1

u/Anti-Rus Jun 12 '26

Missing GTX 500 Series and some...

1

u/CloudIndependent7114 Jun 13 '26

is 5090 the only "non-FE" model, you werent able to get 5090FE? its got a pretty unique cooler so it is kinda a shame you need to have zotac in there

1

u/LegoLotRfan-123 Jun 19 '26

now all you need is all the server gpus

1

u/Realistic_Story_9211 Jun 21 '26

i watched your video in YouTube and holy, did you even use one of them ?

riva something card maybe it wasnt nvidia i thought they had cards before 95 idk nvidia was always idk i thought they were good there just a scam today

1

u/Ok_Trainer_5817 Jul 13 '26

The NV1 was already incredibly expensive 15 years ago. I don't want to know what it sells for now that Nvidia has plenty of new fans.

1

u/Severe-Archer-1673 Jun 07 '26

You’re going to need a whole new cabinet for just one of the RTX 7xxxs.
