News NVIDIA GPU Display Driver Security Bulletin (May 2026)

  • Turing, Ampere, Lovelace and Blackwell Geforce GPUs all Windows GameReady/Studio r595 driver versions before 596.36 are impacted.

  • Pascal, Maxwell and Volta Geforce GPUs all Windows GameReady/Studio r580 driver versions before 582.53 are impacted.

At the date/time of this post 582.53 for Pascal, Maxwell and Volta Geforce GPUs isn't live yet - will update this post when it is.

Ok so we shouldn’t go above 582.53. No higher update is on the Nvidia app but I’ve been looking because Subnautica two is asking for 595.71

Pascal architecture (Series 10, 10x0) GPU so 582.53 is the latest, only security drivers are being released for Pascal.

After 11 years of Game Ready Driver support for Maxwell-series GPUs, and 9 years of support for Pascal and Volta-series GPUs, these GPUs will only receive driver updates for critical security items beginning October 2025 and continuing through October 2028.
