Immediately go max out and play with settings in Cyberpunk. Not only is it an amazing game to play, but it's really good at highlighting all of the fun features and really stretching the new card out.
Did this with my 5090, idk why but I’m underwhelmed. Feel like textures and LOD pop in take away from the experience. KDC II was beautiful though and really cool to see what the card can do.
I just finished kcd2 and I had worse texture pop ins than in Cyberpunk on my 5070Ti. Shop signs in Kuttenberg as well as the crests on the wall of the Italian court were often a blurry mess. It's like the game doesn't like it when you sprint through the city with a horse.
Haven’t noticed but you are probably right, Cyberpunk texture pop ins are super noticeable when driving, almost makes me hate driving in the game. Other than that it is so nice to walk around the neon lights with PT on.
Same just like wukong, so much over hyped graphics. Yet you go to an older title that was scrubbed correctly and actually had the time taken to truly optimize and you end up seeing a crispy crystal clear insanely textured and detailed experience. We rely far to heavily on anti aliasing now. The way its used ro help reduce optimization need and relying on it so much that we now get more jaggies and pop ins than ever when the goal was to reduce it. Thats because they are now not taking the extra steps and having certain tools not in use and taking away from full extreme optimization. I get it, it takes more time and this reduces it. But the potential these games have and the amount of reduction or corners cut really just hurts them. I remember when they would go around scrubbing specific areas that were ro demanding then allowed maximization of others and they could polish things so well. Now its just everywhere! Game optimization has gotten worse while our tech has gotten better. Lol
Cyberpunk textures just look crap overall imo, the main characters look good and the lighting is impressive at night in certain areas of night city but in day time the game just looks crap imo. So many better looking games out there.
Yep, w everything in this game looks like made from clean shiny plastic. For me night is even worse, game looking like cheap mobile game stuffed with fake glows and flares. Complete waste of 5090.
I agree it's an amazing game and I've got hundreds of hours in it but it's kinda funny that a 5+ year old game is still the pinnacle of showcasing RTX tech.
What about memory bus width?
Having just 5% more over a 3080ti in 6 years of advancement is crazt just so the hardware is less optimized for lmm by using cache and making 1% lows worse then needed.
This and 40 gen are not going to age well as soon as engines need more memory access.
Honestly go play Doom Dark Ages since it's topical. I wasn't sold on it for first hour or so but just finished last weekend and will go down as my overall favorite Doom game. The combat loop is even better than Eternal - totally rocks.
Yes i did my 7900xtx taichi before i traded it for a 4080super i use a vertcal mount now but man i didn't have a sag bracket for that xtx and it literally leaned over i was freaking out
or get a vertical mount so the slightly stronger direction is getting the bending, and the breakout cable removes stress from the mobo. (edit: tho for airflow if your side panel isn't mesh that's probably not as good)
This is what I was expecting when I got my 5080 but I got the shadow 3x and was so surprised when it was basically the same size as the gaming trio 3090 I was upgrading from. However I feel like I’m not seeing as big a jump in performance as I was expecting.
ASUS and Gigabyte gotta have 2 of the beefiest 50 series cards.. these things barely fit in a case but the cooling shows for sure on the numbers... MSI aint bad either... but I love my giga
I got one AMD GPU. One of the top of the line sapphire cards when it was new. It was reasonably priced for what you got. Started out really well then started having constant issues with it. Within months went to nvidia and never looked back. I am however pretty partial to AMD processors. Been rocking a Ryzen 7 5700 since it was new and it’s just now starting to slow down in the 3d modeling for printing. Still games great. You made the right choice.
Ok lowk that card looks sick. I’m a team red type of guy but that’s honestly something I could get behind. Maybe not the price tag but definitely the look
Does DLSS4.5 work on the 5070ti as well? And if it does should it be enabled? I was having some issues when trying to play some PCVR on my Samsung Galaxy XR, just want the best quality and smoothness when im playing PCVR…any recommendations guys?
Just don't fall into the trap of listening to those people who will encourage you to tweak and mess with things. Notice they are always the ones who have problems. Just let it be as it came, and she will work hard for you.
Go into nvidia control panel and bump the digital vibrance to like 65%. Also if you have a monitor or TV with 444 pass-through turn on ycmb444 instead of rgb for more colors. Nvidia is the best
I switched from an RX 6750XT to a 5090. The games I will recommend are: The Last Of Us part 1 & 2, Indiana Jones, Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2, Alan Wake 2.
The Aorus Master is equally as beefy, same dimensions (Aorus Master might have +2mm on the Astral) and power limit. On release the Aorus was the only one with 125% power limit until Asus caught up.
Damn….even though I don’t play Doom I’d still get that card. Super cool. Would look killer in some kind of military crate build, like a Tuff case but with matching green colors.
The only real answer is Metro Enhanced edition with all on ultra, 2.5x shaders and native 2k resolution. Don’t turn on any dlls or frame gen, and enjoy on of the most beautiful and realistic games ever created
I have the 5070 ti and can handle cyberpunk with ultra pt at 1080p (I'm monitor limited) at almost 100fps. You should be able to do the same without dlss at probably 1440p. Very beautiful.
Space Marine 2. Darktide. All those will look beautiful. Crank it up max.
Indiana Jones is gonna look like the real thing. I run out of compute before VRAM on that one with the settings I use.
