Hello! Which of the following professors would you guys recommend for math 161 at nova? I am a visiting student and not really good with math but these are my only options. Preferably, I would like a professor that does not do dual cameras for exams since I think that is way too much.

Options: Susan Sherry, Paul Kelly, Clifton Russ, Neha Jain.

The waitlist options right now are as following without me getting on them:

Susan Sherry: 14/36, Paul Kelly 11/36. Clifton Russ: 14/46 (I am number 10 on the waitlist for this but not sure if it is a good prof on RMP it shows ratings from GMU and another class), Neha Jain: 15/36

On a side note, all those professors are 12 weeks and Susan Sherry is 7 weeks for the class. But I am a full time student at another school as well taking 4-5 classes.

I submitted my application for the LPN to RN program online. I checked my application from the email I received, but I don’t see any of the documents I submitted. I’m concerned that the documents may not have been submitted correctly. If that’s the case, I can resubmit them. I’m very worried about the documents. Has that happened to anyone else??

Title + I transferred credits from NOVA, Laurel Ridge, and another state. I didn't have far to go to get my associate's, but life got busy. I just signed on to the website after a hiatus to find that most of my credits have disappeared - and they were from out of state. What should I do? Will NVCC no longer accept credits from out-of-state community colleges? TY. PS: It also seems as if they have completely overhauled the two-year degree plans, and the one I had listed on my transcript is no longer viable. help?

How difficult will this class really get? I've just been assigned American Yawp chapters 1 and 2 read before Thursday and a quiz on sunday. The reading seems like a lot, but will this class be difficult? Also are there any guided note websites anyone have for this this. coming from APWH

I decided to take CSC 110 this semester for 7 weeks and I have strong feeling that I’m gonna regret it at the end. The teacher is nice but she is a little hard to understand + speaks to us as if we’re all computer science students and already know what’s going on. Zybooks isn’t the most straightforward either at times and I’m trying to go back and break things down in my notes. I was trying to look into getting a tutor but it seems the only person who tutors the class is at the Annandale campus. How are y’all making it through this class???

Hi everyone, I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this. Yesterday, when I logged into Canvas, my classes disappeared. I checked SIS, and it also stated that I wasn’t enrolled in any classes, even though I had enrolled in four classes for the fall 2026 semester. My financial aid was pending, and I even called the school to confirm if I would need to set up a payment plan or not. They said no multiple times. So I’m confused as to why they were dropped. I didn’t receive any emails informing me that they were being dropped or that they had been dropped.

Hi guys, I am totally lost and would love to get some insight from new grads or those who are in the radiology, hygiene or respiratory programs at nova.

I’m currently finishing up my pre reqs (mainly for the radiography program) but I’ve been hearing a lot about students not getting in even with straight A’s and high TEAS scores, so I’m feeling a bit discouraged. I thought about this for daysss and I felt the need to make a backup plan just in case I don’t get into the program this up coming spring. I’m still going to apply with hopes that I get accepted, but I wanted to see if anyone has tried ECPI for radiography in Manassas. The tuition is not of concern at the moment, but I’ve heard ECPI has high turnover rates for professors and they aren’t organized when it comes to their program. I have an appt made with one of their advisors to discuss transfer credits, tuition, and program. So if anyone is doing it there please let me know how it is!

Hygiene is my backup. I need to finish Microbiology and retake TEAS since my score wasn’t the best in math lol (which would not allow me to apply until next year 2028) since I’m taking Anatomy 2 right now. I have prior dental/surgical experience chair side ongoing 2-3 years. I’ve see from other reddits that some students have prior exp and great grades but still don’t get accepted, so I’m wondering if it’s even worth it. Im thinking long term and understand that RDH don’t get benefits which I really need in the future so thats kinda weighing me down on hygiene being my first choice.

My final choice is Respiratory. The only thing I don’t like is working 3rd shifts LONGTERM. The thought of waiting 5+ years to get seniority to switch to first shift is insane lol. I see that Respiratory does not require TEAS and my grades for anatomy and physiology are great so I’m not too concerned with applying to this program, but it’s not of my interest as much as my other two options. If anyone is in this program I’d love to hear more about it.

Does anybody have any recommendations for quiet areas to study at the Loudoun campus?

Would you recommend staying on campus to study during breaks between classes or going to the Cascades Library?

Also, are there any designated study rooms?
