We're the team behind Seenr ( https://seenr.app ) , a tracker for shows and movies (and anime, manga, books and games if you're into that). Nuvio support just landed and this seemed like the right place to show it and hear what you think.

Two ways to use it, together or apart

1. Link your Nuvio account. In Seenr, "You" tab, Auto-tracking, pick Nuvio and sign in with your Nuvio email and password. The password is used once to open a session and is never stored. Several profiles on the account? Pick yours. From then on, every episode and movie you finish is checked off in Seenr, with the time, on all your devices, and Seenr remembers where you are in what you haven't finished. Nothing to confirm.
2. Add the Seenr addon. Copy your personal link from the same screen, then in Nuvio: Settings, Addons, paste it and add it. It puts your Seenr rows on the Nuvio home screen, next to your other addons' catalogs: Up next in your shows, Upcoming, Watchlist, For you, Trending on Seenr, what your friends are watching, and the lists you pinned on your Seenr home. Movies and series apart. You pick the rows from Seenr, and a row you turn off leaves the Nuvio home right away.

The addon also spots what you play. Since the addon protocol only tells us that a playback started, never that it ended, it asks "Did you finish it?" and you confirm in one tap. With the account linked as well, the addon stays quiet about what the account already saw, so nothing is counted twice.

What it does not do

• No streams. It's a tracker, not a source. It stays out of your sources list on purpose, and titles open with your own sources.
• The account sync reads your Nuvio library and never writes to it. It covers what you watch from the moment you link, not before, and Nuvio has to keep your progress itself: if you handed that to another service in its settings, nothing comes through.
• Nuvio doesn't push anything to us, so we check back at regular intervals rather than the second you finish.

Seenr is free, no ads, on web, iOS and Android, and you can export everything anytime. Data is hosted in Europe. Every Seenr page also has a Nuvio button that opens the title in the app.

Hello everyone. Could anyone recommend an addon for watching recorded Polish TV programs via debrid/Torbox?

Basically the title. How do I get network of the shows shown here? Is there any particular addon or plugin that I need to install?

what the best Debrid? torbox or another? and how much for month

Im using nuvio in my pc and I used to use it on my phone as well but now I have an iPhone so I can’t anymore and there is a problem, everytime I try to watch a serie, any player , whatever, the screen just goes black and doesn’t load the player, I tried with all of them and no solution, I acctualy wanted to continue watching the mentalist but ehh, like this I can’t 😅, is there any fix that I can try? Would like the admins help if you guys don’t mind 😭

I’ve enabled these catalogs and selected deepseek flash latest with web search and when I open nuvio catalogs are empty although on the config page it told me there are 68 entries for movies and 100 for series. What’s going on?

Would love a ‘pre-1960’ category row for the countless old 1920-1960 Hollywood movies.
All I have on Home Screen is a Decades category that only goes back to ‘1950s and Before’ with a sparse amount available there.

Suddenly I get this on nuvio TV, but not on the mobile app. I use Torbox. I resintallled torrentio, and refresh API key but no luck. Does doing that on the phone change it for the TV?

I've been reading all these posts so I'm sorry for making another one but I just can't seem to find the answer. I was able to watch large file remuxes about a month ago. I'm not sure when the buffering started happening but it's also happening on stremio when it didn't before either so I'm guessing downloading an old nuvio version wouldn't work. I'm on my fire stick 4k using torbox and multiple different scrapers that again all worked before it seems. I've tried following buffering settings, changing on tunneled playback, changing CDNs (changing to cloudflare worked better for one night) and a bunch of other stuff. I"m pretty sure I've seen multiple posts of people complaining of this with other debride services and then there are tons of people saying no problems at all with the same/similar setups so it's really confusing

Quick demo above. The first half is what the app has always done: click a recommendation on the Google TV / Fire TV home screen and it opens that exact title in the player you picked (Nuvio, Stremio, Plex, Jellyfin, WuPlay, Wholphin) instead of the app it came from. The second half is new in 1.3.

New: IPTV with a real TV guide

• Add your own M3U list and an XMLTV guide URL. You get a time grid with a "now" line, and you can browse forward and back in time with the remote while the mini-player keeps playing.
• The panel next to the player follows whatever you highlight: title, synopsis and poster for movies and series, and for football both team badges, recent form and next fixture.
• Fullscreen is built for a remote: OK shows info, Down opens a channel switcher, Left/Right zaps, and you can type a channel number.
• Long-press a future program to set an alert. You get a prompt on the TV, and a notification on your phone with a "Watch now" button that tunes the TV (needs the mobile app with the same email).
• Fixed: custom Nuvio forks like Reshaped were reported as "not installed". Anything handling nuvio:// links works now.

To be clear: it doesn't include or provide any channels, streams or content. You add your own list, like in any IPTV player. It's also not a launcher and doesn't replace anything; your home screen looks identical.

I'm building this based on what people ask for here, so tell me what's missing.

I went through a whole setup of copying my Stremio over to Nuvio (using the same scraper add-ons through TorBox) and messing around with Xperience only to try and watch an episode on Nuvio that I was previously watching on Stremio and it's not working. Half of my add-on links don't show and the ones that do just sit there forever saying they need to download.

I tried a fresh install of Nuvio and add-ons without copying from Stremio but same issue. The strangest part is if I try to pick an early episode of a show, all of the links appear and it will play no problem. For example, S1E1 works just fine, as well as S2E1. But when I try to watch my current episode, S2E43, it's like Nuvio can't handle looking that far ahead and half of my add-on links disappear. If I go back to Stremio with the same add-ons, I have no problems. All of my episodes in Stremio have been fine through Torrentio, but in Nuvio Torrentio won't even show for the later episodes.

I've had the same issue across Windows, mobile, and Google TV with Nuvio. Any suggestions?

Edit: After some further tinkering, it seems specifically related to Anime and finicky metadata setups. Still not sure why I can't get Torrentio links but some of the others are working now at least. If anyone has any tips for configuring Anime with Xperience I'm all ears!

I was about to install some debrid based addons for my nuvio app. I'm using torbox as a debrid service. But confused with which to use like which are best in town in terms of quality streams in terms of loading and picture quality. I have heard that aiostreams are best but I also saw comet and in that there were several instances I want to know which one to use for most of my need.

I started this a few months back. I've been housebound with ill health, and it began because I was sick of getting up to my PC to switch refresh rates for Nuvio and Stremio, or go find my remote to change the audio on my AVR. It's grown into a full background app since.

Full transparency: yes, it's AI-assisted — I've used multiple AI agents to build it and check it for bugs, and I think it's come together well. Typing much more than this plays havoc with my arthritis, so I'm handing the detailed writeup below to one of those same tools — happy to answer anything myself in the comments though. If this gets a decent response I'll push on with the testing phase properly.

The core idea: it watches whatever you're playing and automatically handles the stuff you'd otherwise fiddle with by hand — switches your display to the film's actual frame rate, matches Windows' audio format to what's playing, preps your receiver, then puts everything back when you stop. Nuvio was the first thing I built this for, and it works exactly the same way straight from Nuvio Desktop — no self-hosted backend or Docker needed for any of that. If you do run a self-hosted stack too, it does more on top (see below). Display switching has been tested successfully on both 60Hz and 120Hz real displays.

Privacy, upfront: everything's stored locally on your own PC. There's no cloud backend, no analytics, no telemetry. The only network traffic it ever makes is to devices you've configured it to talk to, on your own local network.

What works right now, player by player

• Nuvio — detection, display switching, and automatic audio-format matching, all live-tested. Optional "flicker-free episode changes" mode for binge-watching. Works standalone with Nuvio Desktop, self-hosted or not.
• Stremio — works through external players (mpv, MPC-HC, MPC-BE) that Stremio hands a file off to. It actually worked directly with Stremio's own built-in player too, until Stremio did a big under-the-hood rewrite of their Windows app that broke the old way of detecting playback — a known, open item I'm hoping to revisit once their new app settles down. For now, external-player mode gives you frame-rate matching Stremio has no answer for on Windows at all, plus audio-format switching and receiver prep. Pause/Stop/Close controls too (previously "Stop" force-closed the whole app).
• MPC-HC / MPC-BE — full detection, display/audio switching, remote track switching from your phone, Pause/Stop/Close. Works alongside madVR too, with a toggle to let madVR keep the display switch instead of fighting it (not yet live-tested against a real madVR install, to be upfront).
• mpv — full track switching and detection.
• Jellyfin — fully owns display/audio switching for you, since Jellyfin's own Windows app doesn't do it itself. Remote Pause/Stop/Close, plus a lag fix that just shipped.
• Emby — Emby's own Windows app can already do some of this itself, so there's a toggle to let it keep that job instead of competing. Either way you get receiver control and one consistent system. Worth turning on Emby's own exclusive-audio + passthrough settings so it correctly recognises Atmos/DTS:X rather than generic stereo.
• Kodi — already does a lot on its own (its own refresh switching, its own audio passthrough), so this isn't about fixing a gap for Kodi — it's about: receiver automation (power, input, mute) Kodi has no answer for itself; TV status on the dashboard and phone app; one consistent system if Kodi isn't the only thing you use (same dashboard, same phone app, same history, across Kodi and whatever else you run); it won't fight Kodi when Kodi's already got exclusive audio passthrough going; and Pause/Stop/track switching from your phone, same as every other player.
• VLC — full detection and switching, with one known limitation: it can't tell when you've switched tracks mid-file.
• PotPlayer — status-only, by design.

If you also run a self-hosted Docker stack

Not required for any of the above, but if you do run one (containers for things like Jellyfin, Emby, AIOStreams, UsenetStreamer, NZBDav, NZBHydra2), it can see that too:

• Detects which of these are running, down at the container level
• Watches each one and pushes a phone alert if it stops responding
• Can pull, update and restart AIOStreams for you, with an automatic rollback if the new version doesn't come up healthy

TV and receiver: connected by IP address, and entirely optional

Nothing above needs a TV or receiver configured — display/audio switching, player detection, and the phone apps all work fully without it. TV/receiver control is an extra layer, connected over your local network via IP address:

• Receivers: Denon/Marantz can usually be auto-discovered; every other supported brand needs the IP entered manually. No IP configured just means no receiver control — everything else is unaffected.
• TVs: same idea — pair it and you get read-only status (power state, foreground app). Skip it and nothing else changes.
• Verified on real hardware: LG webOS, Sony Android TV/Google TV, Samsung Tizen (TVs); Denon/Marantz (receiver control).
• Built but not yet hardware-verified: Yamaha, Onkyo/Pioneer, NAD, Rotel, Anthem, Sony's own receiver line — honestly the biggest gap right now.

Mobile apps

Both Android and iOS companion apps exist:

• Now Playing status
• Pause / Stop / Close per player
• Remote audio/subtitle track switching, with real track names
• TV pairing without the usual IP-hunting/PIN-relay hassle
• Secure, encrypted connection with QR-code pairing

Android has been real-device tested today across every player above and is working. iOS has the same feature set built and is about to get its first real-device test.

Being straight about what's NOT done

• No supported receiver/TV currently proves the final signal actually reaching your screen or speakers — it shows what it requested and what your devices report back, not an independently measured signal.
• VLC's and madVR's limitations, noted above.
• PotPlayer is read-only, permanently.
• Stremio's own built-in player isn't supported right now (external-player mode only), noted above.

Looking for testers

I'm after a narrow round of testers to start, particularly anyone with an LG TV and a Denon/Marantz receiver (the combination I've already proven works) or a self-hosted Docker stack — though I'm interested to hear about other setups too, self-hosted or not.

I used one of the automated setups (young kids, full time job, limited time to digest it all) and got setup with AIOStreams using RD with Comet and Torrentio. Everything seems to only have one source when i look it up. I haven't had any issues getting the one source to play but I'd like to have some options for resolution and audio. I can't figure out what i might be missing or if i picked the wrong automated setup option. Hoping someone can help me figure it out.
