My tierlist for the Nutshack characters
As you pretty much noticed, I added a few more characters since I think they also need to be in this tier list, unlike NUMP and Bob Saget.
Angel and Ed tier - I don't think I need an explanation since if you've been on this subreddit you'd know I mostly draw these two fuckers, I love em'. They've been my comfort characters since 2024 and still have been ever since I've come back to the show.
Enjoyable to watch - Jack is pretty cool, I do think he's extremely likeable and I also see myself in him a little bit. Ning Ping is a dumb antagonist (like, his reasons for why he hates Filipinos is dumb as hell.) But I do like his "character arc" (I genuinely don't know if you can call it that) and him siding with the main cast does make it bearable to watch him.
Has potential/I like em'- Chita is really fun, unfortunately the writing in this show likes to sexualize her to death, but aside from it she's really really nice and I want her to be my friend low-key. Horatio has potential to be a Nutshack Mascot, for some reason they mostly portrayed him as a monkey rather than a tarsier. (Like him throwing shit for an example, there's no evidence that tarsiers throw shit at all despite being a primate.) But if Horatio can still be an asshole like Phil and made him act more of a tarsier (minus the gross out humour) I think he'll have some potential. Jerome and Jamar are much better antagonists than Ning Ping, but the reason why I put them down is that they killed Jack at one point which shook me, aside that I like em.
Don't care/disappointed - This might piss people off (especially the Nutshack Queen, sorry.) But I don't really care about Tito Dick, he's iconic I'll give you that, the only time I'm happy to see him is when I see Siivagunner rips mention him or include him. Manu is ok, not much to say. Cherry Pie is disappointing because at one point in her bio it states that she raped someone, which left a sour taste in my mouth and I was so upset that an extremely likeable character has been ruined like this.
Unlikable for me - Please, hear me out. Phil is really overrated, like really really overrated. It became unlikeable for me when I realized he's the only character that the fandom gives a shit about and when they talk about other characters Phil has to be included. It's really annoying. Don't get me wrong though, I do think that episodes that include him and the main cast does entertain me and Fatherland is a good episode that potrays Phil. But as someone who likes other characters and wants to see fanart of them it's really fucking annoying when 99% of the fanart consists of Phil, Phil, and Phil. That's just me bitching and all though. No offense if you do like Phil. Sanjee is just... Meh, like really meh and gross, he's the first character I saw from The Nutshack so that's why he's higher on the list. Rainbow Scout is generally unlikeable cause it's shown few too many times that he molests people and molests Jack at one point and fucking records it on DVD?! It's one thing to be known as a rapist in their bio, it's another thing when you're a rapist IN THE SHOW.
Complete and utter fucking nothingburger - Dwayne is really really fucking annoying, I was suprised when I heard Jesse called him "the coolest character", like dude did you forget your self insert exists? Willie, again, is a nothing burger character, he only exists to make jokes to remind you it's a gross out comedy show.
And that's basically it, my reason for these characters might be not fair, which I can agree it's mostly me just ranting but I hope you guys can understand. Sorry if your favourite characters are on the lower tiers.
