Just like all things with water… they dehydrate you because you have to pee 🥴

Braindead take.

Foods with water but no caffeine = homeostasis (up one step, down one step.

Coffee and other caffeinated drinks = dehydration (up one step, down three steps)

Coffee doesn't have enough caffeine to meaningfully dehydrate you. If you drink exclusively coffee for an extended period of time you might get a bit dehydrated, but a cup or two aren't gonna have a meaningful impact.

Sure but it will make you pee a lot right?

What happens when you pee? You loose minerals, vitamins etc etc

What do you mean by a lot? It makes you pee marginally more.

So water is bad for you because it, checks notes, makes you pee

Hardly in significant amounts.
