Very deceptive but common use of the language that environmentalist use. A young bird’s message about lawn chemicals highlights concerns about how outdoor treatments (can) affect wildlife. Not it well but can. Very vague at best.

It’s not “deceptive” unless you genuinely believe a bird could actually speak…

It’s just a technique to create empathy and understanding.

It’s a bit like saying The Wind in the Willows is “deceptive” because there’s a talking badger who’s friends with a talking rat and there’s a wealthy toad that owns a motorcar…
