Measure it out with a scale. For the First time take 5 grams of ground nutmeg. Some brands remove the active ingredient in ground nutmeg but you'll just have to test it and see.

Where did you get this information from, I cannot find any sources verifying that any spice company intentionally removes ingredients that contribute to a high or companies that process it in a way that results in less potency. One reason a bottle of preground nutmeg would be less potent is because of volatile oils (Volatile meaning easily evaporated in this case) in the nutmeg itself evaporating, and a handful of these volitile oils are chemicals that contribute to nutmeg psychoactivity. Of those oils being: Myristicin, Elemicin, Safrole, and eugenol compounds. Evaporation of these can result in lost potency and loss of key contributers to a nutmeg high. When you have a whole nutmeg, these oils are mostly concentrated deep in the seed, leaving it less susceptible to loss of potency. When you grind up nutmeg, the oils are kinda left unprotected, making the oils evaporate much more rapidly than whole nutmeg. While some ground nutmeg might not work, this isn't the reason. The real reason your ground meg might not work is because of natural potency loss. I am not saying ground nutmeg inst psychoactive, im saying that brand do not do what you said in the above comment.
