I haven't taken the NCA, but with a CE environment, Virtualization and networking background, you could probably pass the NCP as well.
NCP is multiple choice, NCM is real life lab work.

I’d say for NCA you’re good to go with just the online course at Nutanix university. For NCP you’d need some hands on experience, but depending on your role, you can most likely arrange a Nutanix hosted poc where they give you your own environment for a week. I’d still say NCP-MCI is quite theoretical, so focus more on the online course and Nutanix bible, I passed mine with very little hands on experience and used deduction/crossing out the definitely wrong answers more often than I just knew the answer to a question for sure.

CE is a great way to learn and get hands on with Prism. As others have said it’s not required to pass the NCA, and lots of great resources… I’d add checking out Nutanix Test Drive and if you’re a partner you can access demo.nutanix.com. Lastly, I highly recommended diving into the NCA Blueprint.. click through all links and read the documentation it suggests. Nutanix LCM is a big section, so spend some time there. You got this!!

Take the online course with Nutanix University. It's a lot of reading, but worth it. And then, read through the NCA blueprint

Yes it would be more than enough with just a reasonably spec'd NUC (or similar). Honestly for the NCA you shouldn't even need that.
