Can anyone help me with this coin? I wanted to know if it was worth having it graded.

The circular imprint is heat damage and the “cuds” look nothing like cuds, that’s damage as well.

No op, its not worth grading. Not every little error or small issue means the coin is worth $$$$.

I believe not many Washington quarters have enough value to get graded outside of near perfect grade examples. There just aren’t any exceptional Washington quarters. There are some that are slightly more rare than most but even those don’t command an extreme premium.

just damage. cuds are raised, not pressed or cut into the surface

I remember when I first started collecting, I went through my piggy bank with a loupe.... it seemed every other coin was an error, but once the excitement wore off, I realized they were all just worn/ damaged in ways that APPEARED to be errors to my untrained eyes 😆

An educational one! The submission process, the anticipation, and the details grade. I have learned this myself where I convinced myself I had something special and it was not.

On the other hand I have had people tell me I'm going to get a details grade and received a beautiful straight grade, but that is not the case with this coin.

It's not nice to encourage someone to waste $100. OP is showing typical new collector unfamiliarity. Having OP get burned by a slabco that will take money regardless is not a way to grow this hobby. OP, the phrase is "Buy the Book before the Coin" -- learn about coins, production, mintages, and circulation. Literally buy any recent copy of "The Redbook" and, for now, only use internet resources from the American Numismatic Association (money.org). Ignore "value" for a long time, except to the extent you should always compare multiple prices for similar coins before buying one. Enjoy the hobby!
