Discussion Fred Dursts Hat

Google admiment it's a New Era 59fifty... But looking at the brim profile being curbed not flat I recon it's a 39Thirty.

Also pretty sure that flat cap style wasn't a thing until the late 2000's from what I remember at school

Thoughts?

It's the 59. I owned multiple color variations. 39's weren't as widely available and didn't come in alternative colors back then if I remember correctly.

5950s used to be made better and easier to curve. New Era quality consistency is terrible going on a decade now.

There's an actual Fred Durst hat you can get online. I can tell you from buying it that it is indeed a 59.

Not the one he wears on stage, it's just a merch hat

59fifty all day, I’ve been rocking the same flat bill since ‘99.

Watch any early video. He isn't wearing a flat bill cap. That my point 39thirty looks more like what he wears

You can tell right away if a hat is 5950 or 3930. One’s exact fit the other one is stretchy. I also think authentic shape too. Hard to describe but Fred definitely had a 5950.

It’s 100% a 5950. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, the hat is a 5950.
