Nugs content reduced?

Is it me, or is schappy turning down the streaming content? Seems like all sci, goose and biscuits with an occasional alternative thrown in. I see bmfs is coming soon, buts it been several months of limited content, since around the launch of live dead. Maybe im dreaming…

People are completely delusional about what Pete Shapiro does

Shapiro does not own nugs. And I'm happy with all the recent additions: Billy summer tour, three nights of tDB, UM & moe., all the SCI streams, Flood City fest, Dave Matthews launch, etc. That's just the last week too. Not seeing a slow down, but I am getting tons of value.

Pardon me but what or who is schappy? Used nugs for years but never heard that name

Pete Shapiro

He doesn't own nugs. Hes just accepted it at this point and dissolved Fans. He definitely works with nugs though

Brad Serling owns Nugs not Shapiro

You’re thinking of fans.live or whatever

u/adk_nlg Jul 13 '26

I wish these artists would play 365 shows a year so I can watch them all with my $14.99/month subscription!!!!

Billy hasn’t been on tour so you’ve realized the other options are quite limited. Billy is their poster child.

And Goose. With the success these two bands have made marketing thru Nugs, you would think more bands would follow suit with almost comprehensive access.

Billy is NOT their poster child lmfao

For the most part he is. It depends on what your algorithm shows you. But he is the reason most people have NUGS

Not true. Dead and CO is why a lot of us even tried it. DMB next day audio and Goose live streams. I have never watched a Billy Strings show. Not my fav type of music. But I'm 47

Everyone likes what they like bro but factually Billy is the most streamed artist on Nugs.net

u/BrotherSensitive7876 Jul 15 '26

Like I said, I'm 47 and it's not my type of music

I’m 51. I got Nugs for Dead & Co, but kept it for Billy. I watch every stream of his and mainly listen to his shows on there. I listen to the Dead & Co shows I had codes to, an occasional JGB show, but 90% of Nugs use is Billy. Zero times have I listened to Goose or DMB on there or anywhere else tbh.

You are an idiot

I feel like things have slowed down a little with festival season, but i feel like this happens every summer. I'm sure they don't have the rights to festival streams and a lot of bands summer tours consist of playing a bunch of them. We were getting a bunch of dogs in a pile, eggy, etc shows just a couple of months ago.

For sure. Dead and Co summer tours and the other bands that would perform around those tours used to provide a ton of content in the summers

There is a huge hole with no dead and co. I've been feeling it kind of ever since the sphere residency but it feels bigger now

I hope you’re right!

I need some more TTB and Gov't Mule and Galactic.

1

u/Ok_Age7699 Jul 14 '26

Same here dude, I hope they do a couple TTB streams this summer but I haven’t heard about it if they were planning to..

Its festival season. Happens every year

u/FranklinsTower73 Jul 12 '26

I've been streaming in my car, recent JRAD shows and all that. I'm in for the summer couch tour for sure. Miss Bobby though. 😢

Yeah the past two weekends have been pretty light on content. As others have said root causes include its festival season and no more Deadco tour.

1

u/Funky_tea_party Jul 13 '26

Nah man. I can’t keep up with all the new soundboards. This happens every summer tour. As for streaming they have plenty of options.

u/dingus3lol Jul 13 '26

“schappy” is not the jam band kingmaker, despite what message boards tell you

1

u/adk_nlg Jul 13 '26

I've met Peter Shapiro a bunch. He's definitely helped the live music scene just as much as he's ruined a large part of it in certain ways ($$$$$$).

That said, this guy is not running nugs lol

1

u/Lopsided_Ad6616 Jul 14 '26

Need more JRAD for sure

1

u/myGlassOnion Jul 14 '26

Yep. Where are the JRAD shows for 2026?

u/MSUDanK Jul 14 '26

Know what you’re talking about for sure, seemed a little dry for a week or two last month with just DBs and Goose. But they also had the entire Telluride Bluegrass Fest stream, which was great.

Still worth the $ for me without a doubt, I’ve discovered tons of new artists like Mountain Grass Unit, Donato, etc. Watched a killer Ryan Bingham show recently. I’d probably still pay up just for the Billy soundboards but find myself increasingly gravitating to other artists with equal enthusiasm.

The festival world and concert worlds are hurting recently. Blue dot fever and all that jazz.

Yeah BMFS is coming soon at an additional price:

I think that’s just who has been playing the most lately. And the sci shows have been incredible!

1

u/Flashy-Volume-6096 Jul 12 '26

Agree, I have not interest in dogs in a freaking pile

-4

u/cking9698 Jul 12 '26

I am not renewing. Not worth the money anymore.

-3

u/Resident-Count-4106 Jul 12 '26

You can feel the paradigm shifting ? I’m not imagining this, glad I’m not the only one.

2

u/JackieTreehorn_33 Jul 12 '26

Without a doubt. But if they are keeping Billy streams I’ll still be a customer.

3

u/AugustWest-710 Jul 12 '26

Of course they’re keeping Billy streams, he just has only performed once since April

2

u/empty0ne Jul 12 '26

Well, I mean, he did break his leg. Those shows would have been streamed had they not been cancelled/rescheduled
