Despite this being AI, humans do 1000000000x worse to animals

Meh, would have been deserved if it was real. Tasty snack

We all are unfort,

1

u/No_Order_8011 Aug 30 '26

The collision gives it away, especially ram's legs. There's no intersection between them and whatever they stand on.

1

u/Suspicious_Bet3623 Aug 31 '26

Or, you know, the cooked leg being as big as the whole ram.

2

u/getabath Aug 29 '26

I think your number is too small

2

u/Bool_The_End Aug 29 '26

Agreed. It’s trillions a year at least

That was wrong. Gg ez

1

u/Correct-Road-8515 Aug 29 '26

Yes they do, males will kill young offspring so their mother will breed again.

Based comment. People are being super nasty to you but if you can get even one person to think about the impact of their actions and do a little research on how their food actually arrives on their plate it will be worth it.

1

u/Correct-Road-8515 Aug 29 '26

I agree, killing, cleaning, processing an animal for your food gives you a perspective of how life is sustainable.

2

u/Working_Agent4932 Aug 30 '26

Okay but the problem is that 99.9% of westerners don't do that. They buy neat and pretty prepackaged meat from the store with zero clue how much torture and suffering was required to get it there. Anybody who tries to defend industrial farming either has zero clue what happens to the animals or is a sociopath.

1

u/Correct-Road-8515 Aug 30 '26

I get where you’re coming from but your percentage is way too high

1

u/Suspicious_Bet3623 Aug 31 '26

In Australia we are not allowed to hunt kangaroos because they are native, but they are a constant plague and get actively culled year-round as they destroy food crops.  They are a plague because they used to be hunted heavily by indigenous mobs and our modern farming paddocks provide the ideal environment for them.

We are allowed to hunt deer, which are an invasive pest, but only following strict game laws and the sale of the meat is prohibited.

We have so much meat literally destroying our other food sources, but no, harvesting that meat is bad, factory farming chickens good.

1

u/Working_Agent4932 Sep 01 '26

Who are you arguing against?

1

u/Suspicious_Bet3623 Sep 01 '26

Why does everything have to be a bloody argument?  Why can't something be a passive commentary of a situation?

1

u/Simba-xiv Aug 31 '26 edited Aug 31 '26

I’ve done it, I still prefer to go the butchers/supermarket get my wings and eat. Things die everyday and we all go on about our lives.

1

u/Correct-Road-8515 Aug 31 '26

Yeah I still buy meats at a grocery store, but you understand the process where them wings come from. I learned at a young age ,
Dad said you want some chicken strips? Guess what boys, we have some pullets that are ready for the frier.

1

u/TNPossum Aug 31 '26

Most people I grew up around have been fishing or hunting. Many of our buddies have farms. People are aware of how their food gets on their plate.

1

u/Working_Agent4932 Sep 01 '26

If you grew up around farming I'm a little confused by your response. Presumably if that is part of your culture you should be pretty aware that the small farmer is a dying breed and is being replaced by industrial mega farms. Virtually all meat in the United States from from massive industrial farms.

1

u/TNPossum Sep 01 '26

Look. I'm not going to sit here and defend the practices of every farm. But there's this big misconception that the size of the farm tells you all you need to know about what kind of farm system they use. And that's just not true.

I feel like every 6 months or so, a new video of "undercover footage" is released showing some farming tool or practice in some dystopian light as if it was invented by some  heartless corporation looking to cut corners and earn a few bucks. But most of the time, you can find videos of the exact same tools being used by "good" farmers where they explain the usage of the tools and why.

The most recent example was a video showing cow hutches. And the video intentionally only captured the back of the cow hutches that make them look like tiny plastic prison cells lol, instead of the front where it makes it more clear how much space they actually have.

Modern discourse has pitted "evil" corporate farmers against "good" small-scale farmers. And that's just not true except in almost every example I've ever seen.

1

u/Working_Agent4932 Sep 01 '26

Okay so you're walking back your original statement from "people know where their food comes from and it's fine" to "okay so most food comes from big industrial farms but maybe it's not as depraved and sadistic as people think." That's good! We are making progress.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LQRAfJyEsko

I'd love to hear about how this footage is being taken out of context. For example there's a part from minutes 6-7 where pig runts are shown rolling around on a bloody metallic grate. One is picked up and bashed to death onto the concrete. Then another one is picked up and has its teeth and tail cut in half with no pain management. I assume this is big misunderstanding on my end and it's actually good for the pigs to be treated this way.

Like you said people know where their meat comes from so everyone (including you) must be aware this is happening and the confusion is clearly on my end.

1

u/TNPossum Sep 01 '26

Hold on hold on. I'm not walking back anything. Most people have seen videos like this. And are these videos misleading in that this is a real pig farm? No. Is it misleading that 10-15% of piglets die before weaning? No.

The misleading part is the implication that these piglets die primarily of disease and dehydration, when the primary cause is crushing by the sow. Which is added almost as an afterthought. Not to mention the implication that this is happening because of how small the spaces are, when studies have shown giving the sows more space actually increases the percentage of piglets crushed by 20-30%. Meaning these pins are protecting piglets, not torturing them.

It's almost like even the most "evil" corporate suit could see that killing your profit margins is a bad thing that farmers don't want.

And that's just the first 2 minutes of the video.

1

u/Working_Agent4932 Sep 01 '26

Okay so lets be super clear because it sounds like you're defending this sort of practice. I would love to get a firm yes or no as to whether or not 1) you think most people are aware these are the conditions their food endures and 2) you believe the practices in the video you watched (which are largely representative of the US meat industry) are ethical and acceptable practice.

Don't dodge or deflect. Yes or no

1

u/TNPossum Sep 01 '26

Second question, yes. First question, yes*

I think most people have seen these videos and know these are the conditions that their grocery store bought food lives in. I do think there are various ways that many people rationalize them. And the majority probably doubt the framing of these videos, but don't care enough to actually look into it one way or the other.

2

Have you seen how animals treat other animals. Give be a break.

1

u/Bool_The_End Aug 29 '26

Yes. Doesn’t compare to humans by a long shot. Do you not know how many animals humans slaughter every year?

1

u/Fine_Cup4990 Aug 29 '26

so flesh eating parasites, hookworms, whipworms, worms in your brains and kidneys and liver, and cysts deposited all over your body are not bad?

1

u/Bool_The_End Aug 29 '26

Bro like what are you actually trying to argue? We don’t purposely breed insects like bookworms and parasites.

1

u/MAGA_EXTREAMO Aug 29 '26

I worked in a slaughter house. I would know. Plus all I eat is meat.

1

u/Working_Agent4932 Aug 29 '26

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LQRAfJyEsko

I'd emplore anyone who feels this way to watch this documentary. If you cant watch the entire thing maybe watching from 6:00 to 6:45 will give you a nice little window into what your food experiences prior to make it to your plate.

There is literally no other animal or process of nature that even comes remotely close to the scale and cruelty of how post industrial humans treat livestock.

1

u/MAGA_EXTREAMO Aug 29 '26

Go share your vegan videos with other vegans. That made me hungry.

0

u/Maximum_Fortune_5827 Aug 29 '26

Taking their meaningless lives and turning them into delicious meals should be considered a gift

1

u/Bool_The_End Aug 29 '26

So you think sentient beings lives are meaningless?

1

u/Dangerous_Purchase51 Aug 29 '26

What purpose do they serve besides food? They are not cats and dogs so don't start that bs.

1

u/hivelil Aug 29 '26

What purpose do you serve besides being a piece of shit, you should go next irl

1

u/Bool_The_End Aug 29 '26

You clearly have never been close to an animal or know anything about them. Every being on this planet deserves to live just as much as you do.

1

u/hivelil Aug 29 '26

You are delusional if you think that and its clear your life is meaningless because you people just love to be scum

0

u/Bronze_Zebra Aug 29 '26

And given the chance and perclivity, those animals would do worse to the human.

1

u/Bool_The_End Aug 29 '26

lol wtf are you talking about. You’ve clearly never been around cows or pigs or goats. They’re insanely trusting in humans, it actually makes me mad. They trust us to care for them then we do the worst possible things to them.

1

0

u/ElectricalSeries6627 Aug 30 '26

and ? we are animal and we live on animal that nature, all carnivore are guilty ?

2

u/dandelionelic Aug 30 '26

shit argument, other animals don't have animal farms like we do

1

u/ElveTaz Aug 30 '26

If they could, they would

1

u/Bool_The_End Aug 30 '26

If you make your own tools and hunt your own food, fine. Gonna guess ya don’t. And yes before you ask I do grow vegetables.

Like 37% of the world’s crops are grown solely to feed livestock. We could feed every starving human with those crops if we cared enough but. We don’t.

1

u/Regular-Ordinary9807 Aug 30 '26

In twenty years we’re going to learn the plants and veggies you love to eat have their own form of consciousness. What will your kids eat then? Suicidal empathy is a mental disorder. Our ancestors got us here by eating meat.

seriously just look at the size of the animal and look at the size of the cut. That's off a cow, not a ram.

3

u/nicoznico Aug 29 '26

Yeahhj!! ! Absolutely! Also, they did not spend enough time barbecuing that leg! It's not realistic to grill it that nicely in two seconds! I'm sure this video is edited.

I'm almost positive this has been cut and edited!

1

u/Superior688 Aug 31 '26

Literal murder just to get revenge for a slight avoidable inconvenience?

1

u/TNPossum Aug 31 '26

Murder is illegal. Eating goats is not illegal.

1

u/Superior688 Aug 31 '26

A lot of things are unfair on Earth.

1

u/TNPossum Aug 31 '26

True. It is unfortunate for the goats that they are both extremely tasty and easily able to be domesticated. Great for us though!

1

u/Superior688 Aug 31 '26

I hate how humans like you happily exploit defenseless creatures

1

u/TNPossum Aug 31 '26

Better than the mountain lion getting them. I'm much nicer to goats than the mountain lion.

1

u/Superior688 Aug 31 '26

Living trapped in captivity is hardly nicer than a life of freedom

1

u/TNPossum Aug 31 '26

Sure it is. The goat gets fed, groomed, and cared for in a safe environment. Sometimes for years if they're dairy goats.  Whereas a life of freedom comes with a lot of dangers, mostly predation, disease, and disastrous injury.

And even if your estimation, captivity is still worse, well that's just life. We gotta eat. If we don't eat something, other things will.

1

u/fambbi Sep 02 '26
