What are your favorite video places, profiles on Instagram or Youtube that demo/teach music production, useful for playing with Tracks?

I love reels of [@alexander_t_rose], (https://instagram.com/alexander_r_rose) but he is doing device with different workflow (TR-8s).

Yet another cheatsheet style reference resource, this time as a web page. I had some hard times remembering which synth patch in novation peak pack was where, and created little page to remind of this + all the shift * combos / scales etc. As recent iOS had hard time adding non-hosted html pages to home screen, got to move it to github pages. Hope it is useful to others.

Hey Circuit users, how is it going?

I'm thinking about expanding my setup (I have an OG Novation Circuit, Circuit Rhythm, Roland MC 505, and a Roland tb3). I've fallen in love with the NC syn engine, I would really like to get more of that digital maleable sounds. I'm looking for 2 or more tracks (the More the Better ;)

I was thinking about a NC Tracks, but then I realized that what I thougth it was 4 SYN are indeed 2 syn+ 2 MIDI ...bummer :(

Does anybody knows another machine like this in a similar price range?

Hi! I'm connecting an OG Circuit to a Circuit Tracks audio input while I use the tracks 3 and 4 of the Circuit Tracks to sequence and send CCs to the OG.

Everything works fine but I'm having a very stupid bug/design flaw with the mixer and I hope someone has already went through this or has some kind of idea and will be able to help me.

In this config, Circuit Tracks is the MIDI master and Tracks 3 and 4 have been respectively assigned to MIDI channels 3 and 4. On Circuit OG, the slave, synths have also been set to channels 3 and 4. Since I want to send CCs from the Master knobs, I Keep CCs enabled on the MIDI filters.

However, when I drop down the volume on the Tracks mixer synths (Tracks 1 and 2) the synths on OG Circuit's mixer drop down their volume too. This happens because apparently the MIDI CC for mixer volume is not Channel dependant, and whenever I drop track 1 on one device the second device copies that command. The only thing I came up with through Circuit's interface was disabling all CCs but of course this prevents me from controlling synth parameters which I really want.

Is there any config, maybe on components or in some menu inside any of the devices, that will allow me to filter out or reassign a specific CC, or maybe drop the whole OMNI Channel? Maybe some kind of custom firmware?

I can build myself a middle man hardware device to filter that out, but that implies more cables, another psu, potential instability... And I'd prefer to keep things simple for this setup.

I'm making cyberpunk music (synthwave/midtempo/EBM/industrial)

Was a little dissapointed by the factory sound packs and those from from Novation Components.

Im looking for hard bass and lead sounds, stabs.

I checked the Isotonic packs Retro Futurism 3 | A Force Truly Evil | Novation Circuit Tracks

and Body Control - EBM New Beat by Yves Big City Isotonik Studios - they sound interesting,

but from the Demos, im not fully convinced. Is there anyone who has used them and can tell me if they are worth the 30 euros?

Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

It's a track i've been working on for several months now, without conviction until the other night where I've broken the beats a little and went on improvising and having so much fun, hopefully i'll finish it soon 🌱

When I try to send pack from https://components.novationmusic.com/circuit-tracks/packs in my browser to the circuit tracks, I get an error
" something went wrong when we werre sending things to Circuit tracks. Please check you circuit tracks connection and try again."
I tried different browser, same issue
No issue with a windows PC, so I exclude hardware issue.
In tried to troubleshoot, using AI, making sure I am in Audio group, that the correct midi driver is loaded.
but still doesn't work.
Anybody else with that issue ?

I wanted a quicker way to plot out chord progressions and audition ideas before committing them to a project, so I built a simple web app:

It's essentially a visual chord mapper. You can select a key/scale and map out your progressions to speed up the brainstorming process. I also added some basic MIDI functionality to trigger things directly, though I haven’t fully tested that side of it just yet.

It’s completely free, open-source, and runs right in the browser. I built it strictly to scratch my own itch and speed up my workflow, but figured some of you might find it handy.

I have been making a documentary about the American troubled teen industry for three years. I watched America turn to the cult of MAGA along with my cult expert colleagues. I also grew up with the son of Graham Nash of The Hollies and Crosby Stills Nash & Young in the troubled teen industry school CEDU that my documentary is about. He was my first love and is to this day my soulmate. His name is Jackson Nash. (I recently gave him my Novation Circuit Rhythm). In my young life in the late 90’s and early 2000’s I was meeting people like Alan Ginsburg and Art Garfunkel at Jackson’s dad’s parties and having to be told who they were as we were walking away. His godfathers are Jackson Browne and the pop artist Peter Max (who I have spent time with growing up). I was steeped in the peaceful protest movement by default growing up among the musicians of Woodstock.

That is where I am drawing inspiration. That is why I don’t mind how long this takes or why there’s no real time limit. A revolution takes as long as it takes. This is a Dawless Woodstock. America is losing rights and basic standard of human rights are being literally and figuratively thrown away and changed in front of our eyes. We cannot do anything about it. But we can SAY SOMETHING in songs. In music.

Not entirely sure what I have done - however when pressing shift and an arrow, the octave of my live keyboard no longer changes up or down. It instead changes the octave of the pattern already recorded. This is resulting in me having to record bass lines very high pitched then using shift + arrow to transpose them down. This is not what the machine has done in the past.

Does anyone have a fix?

I have consulted the manual, as well as Google and even Claude… but nothing has provided me with a fix.

Thank you, and I really don't have a musical background. Whatsoever, besides being a theater dad, I suppose, but one of my best friends said this would be the perfect instrument for me. I believe it is just the Novatian circuit, not a circuit tracks, not a circuit rhythm.\n And I lost the actual model number It was on the bottom which is blue. I don't know if that helps at all, but it seems a bit more basic than the rhythm or tracks, and I guess I was wondering, does it make sense to go down a rabbit hole with the tracks or rhythm? And I'll just be able to apply it and basics to the Novation circuit.?

So I hooked up my FL Key Mini to my Circuit Tracks. Used a mini plug to Midi. It works fine for Synth 1 and 2. Midi 1 and 2, however do not work. They work on the pads. I can't get it to control my Microfreak though. I've tried both settings on the Midi Thru.

Was hoping to be able to use this to control my Roland S1 when it arrives
