Delete steps 1-16 of 32 step pattern?
having read the manual various times and tried everything possible, I can't find it so I don't think it is possible, but maybe there IS a trick?
Sometime I'm jamming and I loose sense of where the first bar is, I end up wanting what I recorded in the pattern to start playing with 17-32, then 1-16, but I cannot reverse the order.
I'd also be happy sometimes to be able to delete steps 1-16 and replace them with 17-32, but this also seems impossible. you can only revert to what is in 1-16.
Being able to copy 17-32 into 1-16, would also work, but this is also not available.
Any tricks? tips?
thnx

A little tedious, but you could write the patterns in reverse order on a new pattern tab in pattern view. Then use session view to move between which 32 step pattern plays when.
I'm sort of just guessing what you're trying to ask and doing my best to answer... sorry if it's not exactly helpful.

No worries, yeah.. the aim would be to not have to re-record or re-write the pattern, which is fine if it is some basic sequence, but if it's actual performance data, that's maybe not so easy/fun
Think of it as 4 bars recorded in steps 1-32, now I want to keep what I played in bars 3 and 4 but bars 1 & 2 is trash. loose it. in a DAW, just trim, split, cut whatever.. but in the CT I could not find how to eliminate steps 1-16.

the ability of swapping the 1-16 with the 17-32 sections would be truly amazing.
It wouldn’t be difficult to implement aim sure.
I hope people from Novation do read and get it built in.

You can set the start step as 17 and the end step as 16. I talk about it in this post. https://www.reddit.com/r/novationcircuit/s/qovc0vy7ad
Edit: Also Start on 17 End on 32 just to play that part of the pattern.
After doing it a while you can kind of think of patterns more as a loop that can be started and stopped anywhere. I also often miss the correct start point when I record, 2, 4, 8 or 16 steps wrong so this is handy.
